Hello :hello:
Happy 21st Birthday miss tru _party_ There are four twenty-somethings sat in my kitchen, drinking bucks fizz. I had a couple of drinks with them then it got a bit scary so I ran for the lounge and here I am :rotfl:
I had a couple of things to do today but I don't think I'm going to be able to get on with them
We're going out for a meal tonight, they serve mahoosive portions so I'll just have a bit of fruit for lunch.
Errrmmmm that's itBulletproof0 -
On $%^£* netbook. Darling uncle passed it on to me, and is hinting that little bear should use it. I am not giving a five yr old a netbook! at least when he is on the pc I can see where he is going (disney games and youtube clips of Dr Who computer games usually)
giviing up on flylady tthis week. vomiting bug yesterday, feel flattened, nothing serious. I' ve got some stuff drying on the line, and some more in the washing machine. OH took me to morrisons. Little bear loves fish so being experimental as I don't really like fish, but determined to get something into little bear that doesn't have sugar. So I have some v expensive pieces of lemon sole. I am planning on shallow frying them. I have never fried fish in my life. I have always just bunged in the oven with milk, butter and whatever fresh herbs are handy., Its been a while since I tested the smoke alarm anyway.
Sorry for typos.
Hugs to all , esp nmlc, it is so hard.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
Hello everybody - quick bob in for me whilst I'm eating lunch - poached egg on toast which I have costed at approx 40p! Dinner tonight will be boiled toms with b&b - love it!
Bright and breezy here - ideal for the garden but I've actually had work today! For some reason when today's allocator is on I have work and when the other one is there's "nothing suitable"... go figure.... I wonder if it's got anything to do with the fact I have twice "stuck up" to the other person... answers on a postcard...However, remember a while back how I rescued some clematis stumps? I was variously advised to put one in a bucket with water and another just to plant it. So I did one of each. The one I planted has today I noticed got loads of shoots on it :j, that's at the side of the cherry tree. So this weekend I will be putting the other one out of it's bucket and at the side of the damson tree! Free plants! Hussah! Oh and if anyone wants any hardy pink geranium or columbine seeds let me know on PM as I have loads left from last year never mind all the ones they're doing this year. Might do some guerilla planting with those
I did try and get rid of my damson tree seedlings on the local ecogardening site but not one taker!! Freebies and no takers!!! Madness, I would have thought they'd have gone like hot cakes.... Damson tree is covered this year so I think I "might" be making some damson gin/vodka and more jam/chutney etc.... Plus we went up to the other house last night to read meters/see how it's doing etc and my hardy sweet pea is up so I should be able to find a space for it here in the next couple of weeks and then move it - double hussah. Ditto the raspberry canes. The chicken wire I put at the bottom of the hedges to stop the local cats is working a treat and with the cat scarer as well I'm not seeing as much poo on the lawn... Just need to replace the fence at the back (second on the list after the new garage doors and I've got enough for the wooden ones we want from B&Q - third on the list is a new fridge freezer in the garage after the new doors are on) and put those plastic "spikes" on it and it'll be sorted! A little birdie haven.....
Sent off a contract yesterday for a new typing place - hopefully this sould get us some more money..... Also at the moment waiting for the next ebay free listings weekend...had good run and then it went quite again; anyone had the same?
Did all the washing yesterday so I might as well go back to work! Hussah! But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0 -
Afternoon all, a very quick one. I am treading water these days, got lots to do and not really achieving much of it

afternoon all!
back from my little break to Devon and just caught up with the laundry and ironing mountain!:T
I hope everyone is well. Back to OS for me - I've just done an inventory of the freezers to see how little I can get away with when I go shopping and am in the process of making a list.
Fresh stuff is needed urgently - I did pop into a Co-op yesterday and got some YS strawberries and bananas to tide us over.
I'll just pop off and have a catch up with the thread now xDo what you love :happyhear0 -

Hoppy 21st Birdday to Miss Tru:beer:
Nmcl (((HUGS))) for you; and pain-begone vibes for Auntie.
Sorry I didn't get on here yesterday again.... busy with Mr LW wfh. *rolls eyes*.
It's just occurred to me, I haven't thanked Islandmaid and Monnogran for the use of their island.:D Thank you ladies; we had a lovely time; we were lucky with the weather, and visited lots of places (Brading Roman Villa was a-maz-ing!!) and we found some excellent Real Ale, too!
I managed to scan Mr LW's pictures yesterday (he uses an old-fashioned film camera) and put them on my photo album flash drive, along with my own pics.:T
Well, it's nearly time for Dotty Lottie's walkies, so I'd better see about moving my posterior off the sofa (just been having a time-out after scrubbing the bathroom and dusting the bedroom and spare room).;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
bum i have just started cutting the grass and it started raining  only done a quarter of it , how annoying
trying to persuade DH to take some stuff to the tip , its been bagged up on the patio for months, and there are 2 internal doors propped up against the fence as he needs to saw them up to get them in the car - 9 months they have been there  anyhow ive taken the saw to them myself and chopped them up, he still wont take them , he needs a stick of dynamite you know where to get him off his aris!
Tappers/ lamewolf hope you have both enjoyed your hols x0 -
