Ebay seller delaying sending item despite more postage paid

Hi everyone just hoping for a little bit of advice
I bid and won and item on sunday evening, prior to bidding I had sent as message asking if they knew when it would be posted (on the listing it stated 5-6 working days) and would it be possible to pay extra to get it sent so I get it by Sat morning as i would have liked it for a night out, seller never replied so I bid thinking oh well I want it anyway
I paid straight away with the standard postage and they left feedback for me almost instantly (this is a private seller so not automatic feedback if that is even possible)
They then messaged me to say they would refund and send an adjusted invoice with SD postage so I paid that straight away and was told it would be posted tuesday morning
I have now come home to a message saying they have no internet to print postage labels so cannot post until next friday (22nd june)
So I asked for the extra postage to be refunded or for them to hand write the address as I wont get it by the date I expected and they have told me no because it will still be sent SD but they do not hand write labels as it is frowned upon by RM
Should I open an item not received case? Or should I just suck it up and wait?

.Ask the seller for a full refund if they refuse Just open a INR in Paypal (not ebay as they wont let you open one yet). Leave appropriate FB Then go and shop with a decent seller.'The More I know about people the Better I like my Dog'

Why do they need to print the postage? They can go to their local library & print it out if necessary.
RM are more than happy for hand written addresses as long it's readable.
I guess they're refusing to post it until the money is in their paypal account.
Tell them that you wanted it for this Saturday & as they can't send it out in time you want to cancel.
I would open an INR asap.
They're talking carp.0 -
Thanks I have just sent this message
I am finding it hard to understand why Royal Mail wont accept a hand written label but if you are unwilling to hand write it or print it from another computer then I would like a full refund as I paid extra to have it here for this weekend and now I will be left without after you promised it would be posted yesterday.0 -
Some sellers do seem that they're doing buyers a favour by allowing them to buy from them.
I haven't sold much over the last few months, however I would class myself as more of a seller than a buyer.
Are these new sellers? Their original despatch time seems far too long to me. I always ay that I'll post within 3 days but always post by the next day at the latest, if paid by mid afternoon I post same day.0 -
I feel a big fat neg and trashed stars coming on. This sellers customer service is dreadful.0

Not a new seller been an ebay member over 2 years and has 200+ positive feedback no negs, no neutrals
They replied to my last email
You may not or may not believe me but my post office do not like handwritten labels and I could be doing without the hassle. I can only get to the post office on friday to post things because that is when I go .
I replied
Whether or not I believe you is not the issue here the issue is you charged me extra to post the item out by a set date and you have gone back on your word meaning I will not get the item in time now. That is why I have asked for a full refund so I can go out of my way to a shop and buy the item.
If you knew you only post things on friday you should have really put that in your listing and said that when I asked to get it sent earlier and I would not have counted on it arriving.
I would like a full refund as you have mislead me on your dispatch times.

Good luck moos mummy, I hope you get your refund. If not then you will need to open a dispute. Once you have your money, you know what to do!0

Moo, your seller has given you a runaround and you've been extremely patient - the PO don't like handwritten addresses?!!!
...I wouldn't waste any more time and just raise an INR."The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing.

Royal Mail accept hand written addresses. Today I delivered a parcel, if you can call it that, it was a dustbin bag with the persons order in it, with a hand written address on it.0

Yep, since it goes back as far as the pre-digital days of 1840, I'm thinking Royal Mail kind of must have the ability to cope with handwritten addresses! :rotfl:Royal Mail accept hand written addresses."The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing.
