Free upgrade on Orange to 4S, but do I hold out for the iPhone 5?! any advice?!

Trying to figure out if I have become an evil genius or not, but in my head this works. Although I have already found a slight hitch...
- I am eligible to upgrade my iPhone to and iPhone 4S 16gb white
- I wanted to hold out till september till the new iphone 5 came out
- I could upgrade now to the 4S, have that till september.
- then when the new one comes out, sell both my 4 and 4S and buy the 5 sim free.
My current iPhone 4 has the lock screen button stuck in. But after speaking to a friend at the Apple store he said I could get a replacement for £119 and sell it on ebay for £250 easily. Which could also work. Obviously nobody knows anything about the new iPhone. Just obviously my only concerns are that the new one may have a different sized SIM which could !!!! me over. Or that if it is priced the same as the iPhone 4S is SIM free (£499) that I wouldnt be able to get enough from selling the 4/4S would be quids down instead of quids in!
Any help?!

Doesn't make much sense to buy the iPhone 5 sim free as you're going to be locked into a contract anyway. The whole point of buying sim free is so you aren't locked into a contract and can chop and change networks as you see fit.
You might as well continue with the contract you're on now and upgrade to the iPhone 5 when it comes out.0 -
my friend at work is in the same boat - at the end of her orange contract but wants the i5. she rang orange and got them to reduce her monthly payments until the i5 is out. you may be able to save a few pounds that way. you won't know til you ask!!
