Slide and Fold doors - Coventry

Hi there,

Has anyone used this company?

http://www.slideandfold.co.uk/

Their prices seem OK but I'm struggling to find any reviews.

Thanks

  • Hello Andrew09, I was thinking about using the same company for a set of Aluminium Bi-fold doors, seaching the internet for reviews I came across you old post. I was wondering whether you ended up using Slide and Fold coventry and could give any feed back.

    Thanks
  • Hi

Our extension got delayed until this year, so we're now in the process of making the decision.

Has anyone used this company? Dugs, who did you end up using? All reviews gratefully received.

    Many thanks
  • Purchased some aluminium bi-fold doors from this company.

I have yet to receive product but note that the experience has so far not been good. They were unable to give me a approximate time (e.g. am or pm) that the doors will be delivered when I called them the day before. This means paying for a whole days labour that may not be used plus making it very difficult to organise fitting. I then got a aggressive response when I tried to suggest possible solutions.

    Not impressed

Will update with further info on quality of product once I have recevied them tomorrow

Has anyone got anymore feedback for slideandfold, we've got a good quote from them, but don't know anyone that's used them.
  • Ok I bought 2 sets of their upvc doors, they were the better quality ones with hidden runners. I am happy with the product as they seem well made, one of the handles was the wrong colour and they sent out a new set to swap them over with no problems.

I would use the company again but I don't think I would go for upvc as they don't feel as solid as others I have used (wood etc) but they were a massive saving and I'm far from disappointed.

I am a developer/builder and the doors were fitted into my own house.

Just bumping this thread...this company look really good and are far cheaper than anyone else. Any more thoughts?

Finding choosing bi-fold doors more difficult than anything else in our extension project! Just so much choice....

looking to get an aluminium bi-fold from slideandfold so any one used them for bi-folds recently.

I have a fitter who will be able to fit the bi-folds but just wanted to know about customer services etc if things go wrong after fitting...don't want the classic...its not our product but how its been installed.

I've never spotted this thread. Yes, we have used them quite a bit in the past and yes, they are perfectly good and offer an after sales service. If Debbie is still in the office, she was brilliant with us, very knowledgable and friendly. We put in level threshold doors for the first time with some of theirs and she knew exactly how they should be fitted and we spoke between her and building control. Of course, there is contention between manufacturer and fitter sometimes, but we followed fitting advice to the letter an understand that when you save money that way, if something goes wrig, it's your own responsibilty to talk between the two and decide. If you want total peace of mind, you pay the extra and have manufacturers fit.

We visited their showrooms before we ordered the first time and they have a genuine set up.

I'm on my phone, but if I remember I will post some pics of their doors and windows in our projects.

I went to their showroom recently as well and we'll definitely be using them. Think it was Debbie we spoke to and again she was very helpful and knew her stuff. We're going for the upvc with level threshold as well.
