    I've been Money Tipped!
First, most important, hugs to all. Hester - you need to be devious I think, and wily. Good luck! nmlc - thinking of you. Islandmaid - perhaps your daughter will have calmed down and seen sense, though at 16 no-one makes sense. I have all that to come

Actually I was talking with my neighbour, one of her daughter's classmates disdained to go to the prom in a limo but arrived in a helicopter. I dread to think where it will be for little bear in ten years time. And I am definitely not buying a frock for him!

Today I am going to try and fit a quart into a pint pot. Any second I am going to try and insert little bear into his uniform, then pop to Makro for some white vinegar. I need to get to Makro more, it is nearer than some people have to go for a paper. But I can get five litres for £2.65 (plus VAT) so it is worth a short walk. Then I dive home, put washing on (going to try and try outside today) and put the stew in the NEW slow cooker, then off to the library where our books are grossly overdue as I can't remember what one of little bear's is called and I can only find two of the dratted things. I fought to keep the library books in one place away from his bedroom because I could see this happening. Fortunately I clocked where OH hid my library books so no problems finding them.

I am going to be trying to catch up with the living room as well as flylady and endless washing as the BT engineer is coming. I don't know what he thinks he is doing, I wasn't sure myself after I had finished with the call centre. Then I am going to try and squeeze little bear into a hair cut appointment after school before he goes to his piano lesson because the class photo is tomorrow and he looks like the dulux dog. Meanwhile OH is home, so I will be working with/around him and he will want company.

And with a new iron, there has to be lots and lots and lots and lots of ironing!

    hugs to all!

    Morning BB and all,

bright sunny day here and i was up early stripping the beds. Washer is on full pelt and i am hoping to dry the lot outside. Theres not a dark cloud in the sky so i am hopeful. Ive bleached the weeds in the front garden and need to attack the back garden sometime today with a bottle of bleach too.

Nmlc, thinking of your poor aunt at this time and hope she leaves this world as pain free as possible. Hugs to you as a family too for going through such an awful time. I must admit the people who i have lost through death went reletively quickly which was a blessing for not only them but for us too if that makes sense without being too selfish.

Youngest doggy woke up with a limp this morning. She was fine when she went to 'bed' so i'm just hoping she's either pulled a muscle or the 'mad half hour' in the garden last night wasnt such a good idea. Ive carried her outside once to 'relieve' herself and no doubt i'll be doing it most of the day too. I just hope she doesnt get used to it. Cavaliers are known to be remarkably [STRIKE]laid back [/STRIKE] lazy if they think they will get a bit of extra fuss.

Son has gone for his Maths exam this morning. Fingers crossed he does well as he needs a good grade for his college place depends on it.

    Morning all

IM - at DD. I would never had talked to my parents like that! Exam stress is not an excuse. For my 16th I got £20 from my parents and a necklace, and I was extremely grateful for it. I would go to the spa by myself, or if you have already paid upfront take a friend instead of DD.

I am off to a spa myself today with my friends :D I'm having a massage and manicure, plus we have use of pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and chill out room too. We get lunch included in the offer.

OS wise - not much :o

    Have a great day all

    Morning everyone,

Hester hope that you have a better day at work today.

    nmlc hugs for you.

Islandmaid I too have DS going through exams at the moment and apart from the fact that he is eating me out of house and home I have not noticed any change in his normal easy going nature. I would go on the spa day myself with a friend.

Bargainbird what have you been up to to make your bed go lopsided?!:D

    Bramble welcome back.

Hilstep glad that you are feeling better.

Hugs to all in need and good luck to all exam takers.

The queen is coming to Nottingham today with William and Kate but I won't get to see her as I am at work. I am not a great royalist but I do think that the queen does a good and important job.

Thankfully this last set of antibiotics seem to be working and DD1 is finally improving. She has been poorly for a long time.

I have lots of taxi-ing of children to do tonight and then hopefully I can finish the cardigan that I am knitting for a friends baby, mind you it has turned out quite a bit bigger than I anticipated so it may not be needed for a while!

Tea tonight is something sausage based.

    Have a lovely day everyone.:)

    Morning all ((hugs)).
islandmaid dd is totally out of line, my parents would never have stood for that  Make her put her stuff away as soon as anyone gets home (or chuck it outside!) and take her to supercuts for her last hair cut- she can get a job and pay for her own after that!

Just been washing up as OH put the DW on without a tab in it  Yesterday he tried to put salt in it by pouring it onto the salt dial so I got out the booklet and showed him how to use it :wall:
Approved food delivery finally coming today around lunch time. After that's away I want to go out and look for elderflower heads to make a really easy elderflower champagne recipe I've seen. I can see some hanging over the fence in the garden but they're too high for me to reach :o

Looks overcast and grey here but hope weather will improve.

Can hear DH downstairs talking to man fixing shed electrics and have a feeling costs are mounting for it - Oh joy! It is worth doing properly as he is hoping to have it as a sanctuary even in bad weather. With me and four DDs to contend with the poor man needs a hiding place.;)

He has just been reassured by me to go ahead with the insulation etc so he can use the shed most of the year. I pointed out he does not have expensive hobbies like golf, skiing, posh fishing or sailing and that pottering about in the garden is his hobby and will keep him happy and healthy (fingers crossed).

Going to have a quick shower, offer dh and dd a brunch and then pop on bus to York, get prescriptions filled and get some little foil dishes for little bacon and egg pies and maybe little apple tarts for tonight with salad etc.

Another dd has gone off to work with home made chicken veg and noodle stir fry salad in a lock and lock box so hope she enjoys it. DH has grown some nice lettuce and I have other veg already in house.

    Hester

Hope things go better at work.

    Hug to nmlc

    IM

I know the feeling, mine is 18 and stressed to the gills but if she is ever a bit on edge with any of us she apologises straight away. I think parents will be more relieved than the kids when exams end.

Hug to all and see you all later

Have been MIA for a couple of days because I have had real trouble with the arthritis and have not really slept for four days, have been taking Tramadol so I have not been with it at all and have managed a few naps during the day.
I don't feel too bad today even though I still have pain, it is not as bad as it has been, so I have done some washing, it has really mounted up  But DD has done all the ironing and cooking for the last few days so I can't complain.
I haven't decided what I am doing for dinner, but I think it will be chicken salad and new potatoes, nice and simple.
DH is putting some sockets in for DSIL tomorrow and she will colour and cut my hair and do DS's as well as payment. Oh I do love the barter system :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Good Morning All!
Not been around for a while on here...not sure why really. Just life seems busy and stressful so not wanting to spread doom and gloom. Plus OS seems to have departed apart from the ingrained habits of a lifetime, so feel a little gulity on that score too.
Anyhow, here I am today! Paperwork at all time high and HW at all time low! Had DS' handover meeting yesterday - team supporting him for past three years now ( all they're allowed) handed him to new set. Fingers crossed relationships will grow and he'll not feel abandoned.
Sun shining so ought get towels washed at least. Rest has been done and dried indoors earlier in week.
Weight has crept back up over past fortnight so ought to be dealing with that as well.
Hope all with problems have them resolved soon. Take care.
