Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 13th June. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning,
IM - Woah  , I would go off to the spa and enjoy the luxury and knickers to any others presents. She shouldn't be talking to you like that :(xx
The sun is shining :T, towels are in the WM, I was out walking the houndettes at 5am , got a bit creeped out in the woods as some poor soul took their life in the woods a couple of weeks ago and there were some flowers.
So, today PF cleaning, rummage the cupboards for tea.
I ordered us a new bed y'day  our divan has gone lop sided
. So am now looking for new duvet/pillows etc
as we've gone for a kingsize.
Have super daysxx

Morning all,
The sun is shining :j, how lovely, shame I am off to work, I could do with a day in my garden.
Dinner tonight is roasted veg and cream cheese pasta for the others, and I shall have the veg and a pork chop. Weight is coming off slowly, but its coming off
Island Maid, My dd went through exams at school last year, she sat and passed 11, but at no point did she think it was ok to talk to me in a disrespectful way, she knows that I 'am the boss' time to get tough with your dd I think, and NO I would not be taking her to a spa day.
Need to have a quick tidy round, and make myself some lunch.
Have good days all xx0 -
Good Morning x
Hester - hugs x
Im planning a very quiet day today - may do some pottering later but had a very busy day (for me ) yesterday. Doggies were sheared (literally) and then bathed so look so beautiful with their big brown eyes. We took them to their breeder who is lovely and has 5 westies - plus a puppy. Add my two into the mix and it is wetsie heaven or mayhem with 7 of them charging about. I enjoyed my cuddles and hubby looked shell shocked and bemused. Puppy was just wonderful and snuggly but hubs said NO.
Youngest son has maths today. He is looking so tired so will be pleased when it is all over xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Morning all!!
Sun is shining here! Let's hope it keeps up so OH can go back to work!
Half day for me today, big house tidy when I get in. Chorizo style sausages for dinner for us, probes with a jacket potato and corn on cob.
Not much else to report! Staying in this week to save money till we know when the next pay cheque is coming in. Summer is supposed to be our easy months!!
Love and hugs all

Morning all, dry here today but not very warm, I think the sun is trying to come out. Jack had a good walk and had a run round with one of his doggie pals. Off to school in a minute DD says she will hoover today as the new bath is now in the bathroom and not in the lounge.:j Chicken stir fry for tea which DS will cook. Must tidy kitchen as it's getting on my nerves.
Hugs to all in need esp, HH, Molly and LW glad you had a good holiday LW Welcome back to Bramble we've missed you hope pup is well. Islandmaid hope your daughter is in a better mood today, I would take a friend and go on the spa day without her.
Have a good day all.:)£180.00 in 'sistercas'fund
Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey toward it, casts the shadow of our burden behind us.

Good morning
Sunny here today so hopped out of bed and put the washing on. Catching up on the news with my laptop and a cuppa now before I have a shower.
Foodbank opens today and I need to be there for 9.15.........I think we are all a bit nervous about how it will go. I have volunteered at foodbank central so feel a bit prepared. The plasterer is coming to price up our bedroom at 4.30 so busy day.
BB we will be looking for a new carpet and a new bed but only a double although I put a kingsize quilt on it.
I have taken meatballs out of the freezer to have with pasta and passata.
Well hugs to all especially exam families and poorlies.

Morning everyone
Love and hugs to those that are having a hard/sad time at the moment x
Have woken up to beautiful sunshine and forecast says sunshine all day. Did one load in WM yesterday when I got in from work, then another during the evening - that's all out on the line now. Another load is in WM as we speak - I'll put that out when I get home from work later. DH up and off to work at stupid early.
Aunt still with us although had deteriorated yesterday, Nurse stayed overnight last night again, so dad has been able to get some sleep.
Dinner last night was pie, chips and beans for the menfolk, mushroom omelette and salad for me. Not sure about tonight - need to organise something later.
Only working until lunch time today then on days off, but have loads to do, as we were away most of last week, the washing, drying and ironing pile is mahoosive - have made a bit of a dent in to the washing pile - it's the ironing one that I hate - but it needs doing so will have to crack on with it!
Friend and her son are likely to visit after school this afternoon for a cuppa and a chat, haven't seen them for 2 weeks due to holidays and parents evening the week before half term. DS1 will cut the grass when he gets in from school as it's really long and each time we've been at home it's rained or has been raining and is too wet to do it!
Hugs to those that want/need them, keep safe and well x

Morning :hello:
Nearly ended up on the M4 heading towards London last nightWe were coming back from Bristol and mr tru spotted a spitfire flying about, the pilot was showing off and mr tru had one eye on the motorway and one eye on the plane. He realised at the last moment and steered to the right, lol.
Mr tru has given up with the oven door, he's ordered some glue from Amazon. I told him how heavy handed he is and reminded him of all the things he's brokenHe didn't exactly agree but a couple of hours later told me he'd bought the glue.
I bought a cake. How very bad of meIt's for miss tru's birthday, I gave in because it'll be her 21st. She'd had a taste of it at a friend's house and insisted on it. But I had to go to Tesco for it and I hate Tesco so she'd better be extrememly grateful
I've cleaned out the chickens already, got told off by Maisie who has gone broody. She thinks I'm stealing her eggs, what she doesn't realise is that they're made of rubber :rotfl: I put them back down and she's happy now. I need to do some weeding and tidying so I'll spend most of the day in the garden.Bulletproof0 -
Morning all!
Had a good nights sleep at last:T Feeling better today, no falling!
Woke at 6, and had to re-tune the tellys again (switchover). My back badroom one has found all the channels at last!
Done my washing, having brekkie now. Kitchen clean and baking today I think.
Had a lovely liver and bacon for dinner last night, think I'll have noodles tonight.
Haven't heard from DD since Sunday, hope she is having a good holiday. Think I'd have heard by now if something was wrong:rotfl:
Looked in my tin cupboard yesterday. Realised that I've been eating out of the freezer and cupboards, and they are now looking like Mother Hubbards! So MrT coming this afternoon.
Love to Nmic
((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))) from me if you want one.I Believe in saving money!!!:T
