I don't think you are tied in as such, it just guarantees that rate for that period, if things don't improve I guess.
You don't consider the loss of 4 or 6 months interest for early access to be a tie-in?
Fixed Rate Cash ISAs are intended as longer term deposits, although you can have access to your money, subject to a charge equivalent to 120 days' loss of interest on the amount withdrawn from issue 110.

It's funny how some people don't understand the tie-in point. I've spoken to people who are opting to tie up their money for 4 or 5 years, and say "do you really want to be tied in for that long?". But some cannot see that a 180-day loss of interest (for example) is a very obvious tie-in, and still reckon that they will simply switch out if rates rise.

And probably they will - but they would have been far better off overall if they had never tied in for the long period in the first place.

The IF variable rate ISA hasn't been launched yet - it will become available on 13th June. This is indicated by the w.e.f.

Hmm just spotted that Intelligent Finance had a new product with an interest rate of 2.75%, my ISA is currently with Intelligent Finance but the interest is just 0.60%, would it be possible for me to transfer to this new product?

As I understand it they have repriced all their Cash ISA accounts to 2.75%.

I'd suggest a quick phone call to check ... but I think you're getting the new higher rate.
