Cant comment on the rest as I am only familiar with https://www.share.com and x-o.co.uk.
Just so you are aware the above £7.50 trade fee is the minimum fee under their Standard dealing option @ £2.50 + VAT administration fee per quarter.
To trade for a flat fee of £7.50 you will need the Frequent dealing option which comes with a dealing option fee of £20 + VAT per quarter (on top of the £2.50 + VAT administration fee per quarter).

thank you for the list, X-O seem to be the cheapest, is there any reason NOT to use them ?
I'm still thinking of switching my share holdings from Interactive Investor to X-O. As far as I can tell, the only reason NOT to use them (beyond those already detailed previously) is that they have a £60 ISA account closure fee. Also, an inconvenience which may or may not affect you is that ISA shares and non-ISA shares have to be held in separate accounts.
Please report back if you find anything else!0 -

Does anyone know of a good alternative to III that allows you to by and sell unit trusts as well as shares? That is, obviously, other than HL.

This is a legal requirement and applies to all brokers.
Thanks for pointing this out. I didn't make myself very clear; what I really meant was that you'll have to use two separate login accounts, meaning you won't see the holdings side-by-side, unlike on the Interactive Investor platform.0 -
i dont need the ISA so Ive switched to x-0 .co .uk today0
