Traders own doesn't seem like a good choice for anyone who receives dividends due to their 10% charge on each Dividend/Cash Corporate Action paid!

It does says it a maximum of £1. I suppose it could add up though."fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts." (Bertrand Russell)0 -
thank you for the list, X-O seem to be the cheapest, is there any reason NOT to use them ?
They are the cheapest which is why I don't understand why it isn't mentioned as much on the other thread?
Do you think there is a catch?"fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts." (Bertrand Russell)0 -
I've been using x-o, they seem fine and covered by the FSA. I have had no problems except sometimes payments in are a bit slow and have had to be chased up with a phone call which has pretty well immediately sorted it out. You cannot take money out online through the website though, you have to email them.0

That's a bit annoying.
Fancy writing an email saying " Please sir, can I have my money please?"0 -
Yes but at the end of the day your trades cost £5.95 instead of double that amount or more. The web site is basic but does the job except for withdrawals. I believe it uses Halifax's share trading platform to trade. If you call up, you get through to someone straight away unlike some bigger firms.0

Do you know if they have an alternative to their 0871 number? I checked on saynoto0870 but couldn't see much."fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts." (Bertrand Russell)0 -
