.... I won on the basis of Contract law, of which I got acquainted myself after a lot of research.
    What 'Contract law' exactly?

By using services and not paying for them? The same way as insured drivers pay extra for uninsured ones? The same way as all we pay for shoplifters?

A little bit late, but I can now report VICTORY! Unbelievable for me, too but It took me from before Christmas until after Easter time to resolve this matter. I went through all the official channels, the EE resolution responce was a lame, standard letter. I took the issue up with CISAS. I won on the basis of Contract law, of which I got acquainted myself after a lot of research. The recommended that all charges were waived, incl. those of BCW (debt collectors). Letter of apology was required (not received yet..) and correction to be sent to all Credit Reference Agencies (not officially confirmed yet). My son is ever so careful now with his phone :-)

On what basis were you awarded this? There must be more to it than that.

    I smell something off!

There does seem to be a serious chunk of this thread missing for the OP's "victory" post to make sense.

Not that I'd ever run up a big bill but taking what OP has said into consideration, we could all just rack up some charges and trot off to CISAS for a refund!!!!

Perhaps it would be cost-effective to upgrade the contract to one with unlimited texts.
