Has he been driving your car, another car, or just moved back in?

he had but sold about year ago lives at home. the issue is why the car was transfered from my wife to my son the reason is because the private number plate was on my son name as a nominee as person he brought the plate was no longer around and only way to have it none was to transfer the log book into his name this all none at DVLA office

You're going to have to explain all this to your insurer, and they'll also want to know why your wife decided to buy a car now.

Who paid for the car ?

Did the money leave your wife / your account or was it from your son's account.

Was the log book in your son's name before your wife's name?

Whose name is on the receipt

What sort of Leon is it?

Has is got modifications eg different alloys, lights etc

Does it have an different stereo?

Does your wife drive it to work ?

Does your son drive it to work / college

Where is the car during the day eg at home or at your sons work

The other important question is who did your wife declare the owner and registered keeper was when she took out the policy.

As Churchill/RBS/Privilege/Direct Line are in money saving mode at the moment, you've given them plenty of ammunition to cancel the insurance now and blacklist both son and wife.

Getting caught out fronting and then having a claim rejected and the policy voided would happen with virtually every insurer, not just Churchill etc!

Dont forget to declare the outcome of your wifes details to your insurance, Unless you remove your wife from your policy of course.

Fronting wont go down well on her/his insurance history.
