why did T-mobile say no
I'm in the last month of my contract with t-mobile and have had no luck in getting the phone or contract I want from them via retentions, they want me to pay £150 for the phone, even though this is the same price and deal as a new customer can get from their website. no loyalty discount.
so I have decided I'm going somewhere else to get the deal I want. now for the entertaining bit, I can go into tesco's and get the same phone and contract but the phone is free, and you've guessed it it's with t-mobile. I have asked T-mobile to match it but they just said no they can't budge on the price.
so how do I go about canceling my old contract with t-mobile and then using my old number on the new contract, do I have to get a pac number from t-mobile and then give it back to t-mobile for the new contract, or is it more complicated than that ?.
I just don't understand why t-mobile have said no, I'm going to be staying with them except tesco are the brokers in this deal, but I'm still going to be paying t-mobile my money each month.

It is. You can only port to another network, then back to t-mobile.... do I have to get a pac number from t-mobile and then give it back to t-mobile for the new contract, or is it more complicated than that ?.

If you want loyalty, get a dog. Business is business and I bet you use confused.com or similar every year for Insurance quotes. Equally, if another network had a great deal, you would probably move.

No never used them, I've been with the same insurance companies for the past 7 years, always put my details in their website when it's renewal time as a new customer or play them off against another company, they always end up giving me a cheaper quote

this is the 1st time I've struggled to get a deal which has been offered by someone else that they wont match, I don't want to leave but this time they are making me.

Don't ignore the cashback available. Unless you pay several hundreds for your insurance, cashback makes a huge difference. That's what I mean about the misuse of the word "loyalty". In this day and age, we all need to ensure that we are getting a good deal. Businesses evaluate the money that each account generates and how much they have estimated that each account costs to maintain.
If you fall into the non-profit group - or if the deal you are seeking does - then the network isn't going to fight hard to keep you. By the same token, if another company offers you the same deal for less money - and not just mobiles - why should you stick with your original company.
So forget the concept of loyalty - it's business, not personal.0
