    Are you surprised by that? The company can only exist if it has share holders willing to invest in it - they won't do that if the company doesn't earn them money.

    i am completely in disagreement with the management of a precious and absolutely necessary resource like water being privatised in the first place. but that stable door opened years ago

    Completely agree with you puddy. Fortunately for us up here Scottish Water has so far not been privatised and long may it remain that way! There are a lot of things I'd bring back into the public sector, gas, electricity, transport....but that's for another forum!:)

    well the hosepipe ban gets lifted (today I think).

    Didn't say anything - but noticed the following morning that the badge off the front of his car was missing!! :rotfl:
