this was questioned some months back on news night and the spokesman for thames water had no shame in saying that their priority is their share holders. simple as that.

i am completely in disagreement with the management of a precious and absolutely necessary resource like water being privatised in the first place. but that stable door opened years ago0 -

Completely agree with you puddy. Fortunately for us up here Scottish Water has so far not been privatised and long may it remain that way! There are a lot of things I'd bring back into the public sector, gas, electricity, transport....but that's for another forum!:)0 -
well the hosepipe ban gets lifted (today I think).
