Problem with O2 £50 vouchers.

Options
Hi,

Me and my wife both bought HTC Sensation XE phones on a 24M contracts on the 02nd of March.

We bought it via Quidco on the following promotion: "Exclusive £110 cashback on all 18/24 month contracts (excl. iPhone) + free £50 shopping voucher for Asda, M&S, Argos, Sainsbury's or B&Q on selected 24 month tariffs only".

We both have received the £110 cashback but never received the vouchers.

I have contacted O2 customer services many times (about 6 or 7 times) but they were not able to resolve the issue.

The cash back and the vouchers were the main incentive for us, otherwise we would have stayed with T-Mobile and gotten the same phone from them.

Do we have the right to cancel the contracts as O2 were not able to stick to their part of the deal?

I think it was an incentive to buy the contract, not a part of it.
Assuming that you can prove this and there was some deadline you can sue them through the Money Claim Online court, but have to get a deadlock letter from them first. Instead of wasting time on telephone calls just follow their internal complaints procedure.

Thanks for the very quick reply.

According to their own consultant: "The vouchers will be received 60-90 days from the contract start date."
    so the deadline has passed.
I will probably ask for the deadlock letter tomorrow as they have scheduled a callback from their "concerned team" tomorrow.

Thank you very much for the advice.

Are you sure it wasnt quidco offering the voucher?
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

    Positive.
I have contacted Quidco first and they told me that the £50 voucher is supplied by O2.
