So how come P&P has went up and communications has went down, I notify them of despatch within 24 hours.
To clarify and so I don't alarm people , 4.8 is not a 'bad' percentage in fact anything 4.7 and above is fine really and not likely to cause issues. However on such a few feedback ratings it shows a general decline and that is not good .
It will be much more useful when you are able to access the expanded dashboard as you absolutely don't want any 1 or 2 stars on there this early in your sellingI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Sorry I am on an iPad so can't see the actual breakdown of the stars, can you please post the actual percentage by each star.

Also, the fact that you have already had to give up one account due to poor stars means there is an issue somewhere.
Obviously you should not say anything on here to identify yourself or your stock, but are you selling things that might attract issues? For example clothes where sizing can be an issue or very light things that due to dimensions have to go as a packet so thatnthepostage 'looks' high?

I am not selling anything that could be contentious like clothing, it is just a random selection of personal items, all of them are in excellent condition just surplus to requirements, and going by the actual feedback of everyone they are delighted with their purchases, but some seem unhappy with postage costs.
I send items first class, I do not surcharge postage, and I only charge 5p for the padded envelopes, I think the highest postage charge has been £2.70 and that was for a brand new gift set worth £15, sold on a buy it now for £5 and sent in a box which wasn't charged for.0 -
I know what you mean. I was on here a few weeks ago whinging about the exact same thing. I charge the 50p stamp that RM charges more. Nothing for packing and would never incorporate petrol or the fees in the P & P charges and I have 4.8 too. Same for dispatch. I always dispatch the same day but use second class to keep costs down. I always update the thinging to say it has been dispatched. Same for Comms, marked down. I've replied to every single message within an hour. Even on a Sunday afternoon!
It is not viable for me to offer free P & P as I can fit 4 of what I sell for the price of a stamp, it was encouraging people just to buy one pack and was eating into my profit. I only charge 50p, nothing further after that.I'm never offended by debate & opinions. As a wise man called Voltaire once said, "I disagree with what you say, but will defend until death your right to say it."
Mortgage is my only debt - Original mortgage - January 2008 = £88,400, March 2014 = £47,000 Chipping away slowly! Now saving to move.0 -
I'm likely to be restricted soon, as my p&p has recently gone down to 4.58. I charge stamp price & a lot of my items are fragile so need bubble wrap & peanuts which I don't charge for.
I give a choice of postal options, 2nd or courier is my first choice then 1st class. I've got no 1's or 2's.
My FB is all really good, I've not sold much over the last 3 monts so can't run a report to see where the problem is.
All I can think is that I've allowed a couple of collections where I had listed a postage costs & I'm wondering whether those buyers have let a 3.0 -

The problem is that when you stop listing your good stars at the start of the 12 months fall off and leave the low stars which makes your percentage get worse and worse. The same thing has happened to me on Amazon and I think I am now showing 91% headline percentage. It gets worseeach month as I Have 2 neutrals and now don't get more than 1 feedback per month so the neutrals get heavier weight.
I am also wondering whether private buyers get worse stars generally than businesses as my private account is looking a lot worse than my business account even though I sell 10 times more on my business account. All my sales are treated exactly the same as well so the accounts should have similar scores, yet I have 3 X 2* ratings on my private account.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
