how do I unlock a sony ericsson v600i with a o2 sim card in it?

I only got my sony ericsson v600i today and the things is its a vodafone phone I wanted to put my o2 sim card in it to see if it worked and it came up with put in correct sim what I want to do is make the phone work for my o2 sim. does anyone have any idea how

You can try searching it on website for code or even going to a high street phone shop, they normally do it for under a tenner.

if u gonna do a DIY unlock of your phone you'll require the serial connector cable to connect your phone to your PC (USB cables won't do)

otherwise take it into one of those phone unlocking shops/booths they'd do it for £5-10, takes about 10mins max.
