A lot of the personal injury solicitors are based in Manchester, there a lot in Liverpool as well.

P.S Does any one else think they should have subtitles when Jamie Carragher is punditing (Is that a word) on Euro 2012?

Living in Manchester, with a self employed job in Broadcasting is excruciatingly expensive. A number of insurers refuse to quote when I put the location and occupation in. Worrying times.:(

God "bless" the BBC, eh...? :(

Sorry to hear of your woes, MGM. Hope happier times are ahead of you. xx

I think going for a local broker is the way forward.
  • THIS IS A SERIOUS ANSWER

You work in the media, this insurance is getting out of hand. Hope you can make some influence.
I say this because I have a friend who just passed and it is cheaper for him to hire a car for a year then to buy a car and insure it.

Also when people get insurance on the outskirts of the city for less, they have to drive to the city for work everyday.

    Makes no sence

Why would anyone be termed un-insurable? what is the matter with manchester or media? You could take advice from your colleagues maybe they know how to get insurance in your case. You require personal protection insurance right? Maybe a higher premium would be demanded but you would definitely be insured, you must consult a legal advisor how to go about it so that you can be tactful in handling the brokers and more convincingly be able to negotiate with them:)
