What brake pads do I need?

Hello,
I ordered a set of front and rear brake bads for my car (10 plate Kia Venga 2) form eurocarparts. I entered my registation on the site and it disaplayed the "correct" pads. When I got round to getting them fitted, the back ones fit ok, but the front ones are the wrong size!
Short of taking the old set of front pads down to a parts place, has anyone got any ideas of how I might identify the correct sized ones based on model/registration number?

From a quick search the same size pads were fitted to all Venga models in 2010/2011. These were 131.5mm in length and 60mm deep, which is the dims given for the ones on eurocarparts aswell.
Are you sure they sent the right set? Check the part number on the box against that for the ones you ordered just incase.0 -

Thanks RDG, I checked and the part number is correct on the box against the one on the ECP website, the part no that is stamped on the pads matched up as well.
Very strange as the OEM pads are definitely smaller than the new ones. I guess I'll take the old ones down to make sure I def get the right set.0 -
Vengas ate listed on the brakeparts.co.uk as having either BPS 2460 (by their part numbers) or BPS 3328 on petrol models. Diesels are all BPS 2460.
Looks like the 2460 is the ones you've got (131.5 x 60mm overall). The don't list the size of the 3328's but it suggests there ARE two possibilities and gives a starting point for looking.0 -
Europarts are fast tumbling downhill with their service. We rarely use them now as their fast delivery is pointless when its 50:50 they will deliver the correct part.0

as seen above though if theres more than one fitment do you want to pay then return unwanted items
a factor i use to use always sent the wrong part to gain time so he could get the right part
dont use him either
i only use ecp if i know exactly what i want and its cheap like say a heater motor for a sprinter0 -
Mintex, part of TMD, have an excellent online catalogue.
If you visit their site and download the catalogue, you can cross refer your part numbers, further into the catalogue you will find full size diagrams of all the pads they offer, complete with measurements.
You should be able to compare your present pads to the ones listed.
It can be a bit laborious the first time but worth getting the hang of their site.
Tip for the future, when you have reason to remove a wheel from your car, remove the pads at the same time and take a stencil, then when you need pads you just take the piece of card with you and then you know you are getting the correct part...especially important with French cars, which are never fitted with what they should be.0 -

Worked on dozens though, and come across the 'could be any one of half a dozen fitments' many times.
Maybe you don't supply enough info. Just wondered, as I order to the number plate or vin if I need to, and never had a problem. Occasionally had to check what manufacturer on the calipers on very old ones, but never needed to go to the trouble of drawing round the pads. I probably couldn't list half a dozen different ones.0 -
