Broken Phone/Any Options?

Options
Can anyone help...... I recently water damaged my Samsung Galaxy S2 mobile phone,i had it in my pocket whilst out on my motorcycle and i got caught out in a freak shower which penetrated my jacket and water seems to have crept into the phone and stopped it working properly.Im 10 months into a 24 month contract with O2 and i haven't got insurance on the phone,i was wondering if anyone else has ever found themselves in this predicament and what the outcome was.
Sadly i feel the only option for me is to buy a replacement O2 compatible smartphone at my expense and full-fill the rest of the contract, but i haven't got any spare wonga floating about and would really appreciate any ideas. :(

I guess you have answered your own question. The phone is not working as a result of water damage and without insurance there is no way to have it repaired or replaced without some cost. If the phone is essential to you then you have to find the cash to either repair it or replace it - as you have signed an agreement which has another 14 months to run.

The real question is - how much do you need another S2 or even another smartphone. For the time being can you find £20 to buy a basic unlocked mobile which you can use for calls and texts until you have the spare cash to upgrade or until the contract has expired.

A basic new phone costs even less then £20, about £15 in fact.
Very decent new smartprtphones are available for just about £100.

Buy your replacement via an auction site, as this is often the cheapest way to get back on track.
