I received a letter from my water provider (Wessex Water) saying that they putting up my monthly direct debit from £34 per month to £39 per month:eek:
I telephoned to get full details of the increase and I queried the fact that I had read metered people were facing a bigger increase than unmetered people.
Lady said that was not true and metered peoples increase was 15.1% and unmetered about 16%, which considering that inflation is below 3% is a bit strange! Got the story about increases being agreed with Ofwat over a five year period blah blah blah!!
You just can't win, you try to cut down on consumption and up goes the price so you are just not getting anywhere. Makes me so cross.
