Ever thought of a shotgun and standing guard?0

I got one of those big cheese sonic things, and a massive fake snake that worked even better:)"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Cover the beds with gravel/slate chippings - keeps the weeds down too.0

Artfully arranged prunings - ideally from roses or something else prickly will do the job if you prefer not to have an actual plant there.Shrinking my mortgage!

I have chicken wire down along my grass to stop cats pooing on my lawn - that works for me as they don't like walking on it.Regards, Robin.2011 MFW # 34

Long term solution is to plant a prickly hedge around your garden (something like Berberis) to create a barrier. The red leaved ones are lovely - and you get berries in the Spring, so nice to look at.
Dogs DO go back to the same spot - I've seen it. They sniff until they find their "toilet" (i.e. where they've gone before) and then hunker down ...:(
My elderly Mum had this problem as her garden was open too. A neighbour suggested putting Jeyes Fluid on the spot and that seemed to do the trick! Very smelly; very offputting to sensitive animal noses. Unfortunately, didn't do the grass much good - it's now covered with shale instead. She regularly sprinkles it with JF, just in case ...
(Yes, it could easily be a fox or a cat - but the JF should repel them too).
Hope this helps.0 -
:rotfl:Cats dont bury there droppings these days, there so pampered they aint got the strength to carry the fork n spade no more :rotfl:
All animals will return to the same spot, just like we do!
My Grandfather who was an avid gardener with beautifully trimmmed lawns n hedges even had cats do it on top of the hedges
