I say congratulations to asda. They always seem to be the first to drop their prices and then others will follow suit. They are always the cheapest round here (even if only by a penny, that's not the point). So I say well done asda, thanks.

Around here, Tesco don't bother to follow, yet the sheeple can be seen queuing up for petrol that is 3p cheaper just a mile away.

Can't remember the last time Tesco led a "price war" on petrol.

Based on the wholesale fuel price, ASDA will be selling at 6p a litre loss. What they hope is that the sheeple then go and buy their groceries at the same time.
Not me. I can't afford to shop at ASDA. I shop at Aldi and Iceland. Luckily, I pas an ASDA on my way to my son's house when I pick him up on a weekend so may take my van and 2 jerry cans down this weekend and top them all up. Will give me 20 Gallons of cheap diesel to run my car on.

Just a thought. If we all filled-up at ASDA but went elsewhere for our groceries, how much could we cost them do you think?.
