We’re cutting fuel prices by 3p a litre from tomorrow – taking prices to their lowest level for more than a year.
From tomorrow you’ll pay no more than 129.7p per litre for unleaded and 134.7p a litre for diesel when you fill up at any of our 195 forecourts nationwide. We’ve been able to cut fuel prices by 11p since their peak in April.
We know the cost of transport is one of the biggest pressures on household budgets – so when we get the chance to reduce fuel prices we do it right across the country.
Research taken from PetrolPrices.com shows that some retailers get away with charging their customers more for fuel – as much as 8p a litre more – in towns without an Asda nearby.
We launched our new petrol price comparison site in March, powered by independent price checker https://www.petrolprices.com, to enable drivers across the UK to find the lowest priced fuel before they fill up.

Humm In my area - DIESEL prices within 5 miles:
(Asda usually cheapest but for the past few weeks haven't been doing so well)
Sainsburys £135.9
Tesco . . . . £135.9
Total 1 . . . .£136.9
Total 2 . . . .£136.9
Asda . . . . . £137.7
So that's a 3ppl reduction (tomorrow) maybe
Or 1p cheaper than their rivals . . .0 -
That 0.2p a ltr really makes a psychological difference to the public ay !!! LOL"Dream World" by The B Sharps....describes a lot of the posts in the Loans and Mortgage sections !!!0

Asda have already been 130.7 here last week so that is only 1p reduction.
Also what is their national price thing all about? As the next nearest Asda has been 1p more all last week. Do they really think that the general public are too dumb to notice?0 -
I say congratulations to asda. They always seem to be the first to drop their prices and then others will follow suit. They are always the cheapest round here (even if only by a penny, that's not the point). So I say well done asda, thanks.0

Sorry while we're on the subject....now I thought this was just me, but now I've tried and tried and I'm not going mad, why can't you put a nice round £30 fuel in anymore? Seriously I have tried numerous times and once I get to £29.99, I will pull the leaver so very slightly and slowly and it will ALWAYS flick over to £30.01, won't even show £30.00! I know it's only 1p but if this happens to everyone? It's not only asda either btw, esso, shell, morisons, all the same. Anyone else noticed this?0

You're remembering the days when 1p of fuel was actually a measurable quantity perhaps? Do agree though - the smallest squeeze gives at least 2p nowadays - that's inflation for you!
Reminds me of a 'Not the 9 o'clock News' sketch where the cashier watches a man painstakingly filling to a round amount then hits the special 'nobble' button to up the cost by a penny!0
