I've never used it, but there are suggestions in this older thread :) I'll add this to that one later.

I use it if we are going camping, wigwamming etc. Usually put some extra tomato puree in it and some spices and a tin of mixed beans or kidney beans and use it for tortilla wraps, spag bol, chilli etc. It also makes a fab filling for canneloni, which was how I fist discovered it!

I wonder why your neighbour didn't want to take it with him/her?

    Nice of your neighbour though.

I've used this quite often as I used to be vegetarian and my daughter is one. You can use it to make bolognese, chilli, curry etc. Just don't cook it for too long as i find it tends to go mushy. Perhaps you could use it as a jacket potato filling and put some grated chese on top or disguise it some other way if you think your family won't like it as it is.

It's basically Pot Noodle without the noodle.
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.

    Er...no it isn't??

It's dried soya mince with flavouring

I personally love it, but I never use as much as the packet says - I think one packet serves two for one meal or something like that? I make a packet last about 6 meals for 2 by bulking out whatever I'm making with lots of veg.

My favourite thing to use it in is lasagne.

By the way, does anyone know where to buy beanfeast anymore cos my tescos doesn't do it so I buy the asda version but it isn't as good

And Pot Noodle is dried soya mince with flavouring, and noodles (and 'vegetables').
