Old Sky dish, new Sky+ box?

Hi, I've got a new HD Sky box so was going to hook the Sky+ box up at my Mums house. It's one of the older, bigger satellite dishes and hasn't been used for a few years though has stayed in place.
Will it work with the Sky + box?

As long as it's still pointing in the right direction I see no reason why it shouldn't work perfectly.0

depends how old the dish is
it could be a sky analogue dish
if it is it wont work
if its like this

then you might be ok if it hasn't moved and if it only has 1 cable output on the dish lnb then you can use that but you might be better fitting a Quad lnb as a skyHD Box ideally uses 2 connections from the sky dish
if the dish is a lot bigger than that pic ^ and more circular than oval shaped its probably a sky analogue and wont be any good0 -

It could also be one of the oval solid dishes that were also fitted when digital satalite came out. These are smaller than the really old analog dish (and if you fit a digital LNB onto one of those,it'll work,as I did at one time in order to get the German satalite channels,I also got normal Sky channels on it) & are a creamy gray in color.0 -
Also, to connect the Satellite cable to the box do I need a threaded screw on type connector?
If I just put the cable from the aerial into the box, can I use it as a free view box?0 -

All Sky connections are the screw on (F-Type) connections & no,you cannot use a satalite dish/feed to recieve freeview, although if you but an old Sky box,you can recieve free to air channels IF the is the correct type of LNB on the dish, but if it's an old analogue LNB,then it wont work.0 -
And it'll need a twin feed from the LNB in order to fully use the Sky+ functions. No free lunch, and no free laptop
