Hi
BT are offering customers evening and weekend calls and option 1 broadband for 6 months free then £13 pm for an 18 month contract, but this offer does not seem to feature in MSE reviews?
Also offering anytime calls + BB for £13 pm but without the free six months
Has anyone taken them up on this? Is it as good as it looks, please?
TIA

Hmmm, not sure about this one. I discussed this with BT on Friday. Thought it sounded good but had doubts as it is an 18 month contract. Personally, felt I would be tied in for an extra 6 months beyond my usual 12 months. This would prevent me shopping around so I kind of looked at it is it actually "free" if that makes sense!
Also, I was interested in the anytime calls but if I remember correctly when you take into consideration the line rental, the price jumps up to around £27 plus or thereabouts.
I'm still thinking this over and searching for better deals that are on this site.0 -
Orange, my current BB provider, keep ringing with good offers but I must change my line rental to them. I am loathe to do this as my son left them and they failed to leave that line available for BT to connect to and also kept charging him for months for a line that he didn't have!
It took tens of calls, emails and letters to finally get things sorted out.
You can pay BT a 12 month advance line fee for a reduction on monthly payments, so the offer in my OP seems pretty competitive especially with the free router, BT hotspots and wi-fi allowance!?
Anyone else?

We've signed up with the BT deal - thru Quidco for decent cashback ££
Im keeping fingers and toes crossed that it will be OK as we have now tried THREE providers in last 2 months.........
First, TalkTalk who changed the new line install date the day after we agreed it with them and signed-up. We cancelled.
Then, Primus - and exactly the same thing happened. We cancelled that too.
Then Orange. They offered us a date and we chose one farther away as we were due on holiday. We waited for BT to come and install new line and they failed to arrive. Phoned Orange to be told they had changed the date but hadn't bothered to tell us. We asked for compo as had to book day off work for new appointment and they refused. So, we cancelled them too.
As I said, fingers and toes crossed that BT deliver.0 -
I have also signed up with BT. AOL were to increase my cost to £25 per month for just broadband!
I went with the BT offer of £13 per month on 12 month contract with free phone calls for 12 months and a reduction in my line rental plus a £25 voucher to spend in Sainsburys!0 -
I have also switched to BT from talk talk who were charging £41 per month. We live out in the sticks so no LLU Unbundled exchange here. Went through cash back site for £30 back if it tracks and also got the Sainsbury £25 voucher to claim. I have paid the line rental upfront as I fell its a good saving. Total outlay is now @ £23 per month with free calls for a year
The only downside could be the 10gig limit if you are a heavy user.If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you! :dance:0 -

During my first month I was under 2Gb and so far this month I am on just 0.74Gb.
If I need any large downloads I will wait till near the months end and use up any surplus quota rather than early in the month.
We have no LLU plus it's a long line to the exchange and hence only 2.9Mb connection so I don't do many very large D/Ls anyway.0 -
...now a £50 Sainsbury voucher with all BT BB offers!!

Our new line etc hasnt been installed yet, so hopefully we will get that £50 Sainsbury Card instead of the £25 we were expecting.
£85 cashback from Quidco too.
We got the 18 month package with 6 month free.
After the £85 cashback and taking into account the free 6 months, it works out at £14.69 per month for internet, calls and line rental.
Ive kept 5GB going on my 3 mobile broadband account with updated free dongle for £6 month too.0 -
Be careful CoupleUK....I had the BT evening and weekend package and didn't realise I was being charged a fortune (hundreds!) for the daytime calls.
I recommend getting the Anytime package....
