Hi there,
I recently changed my broadband+home phone to plusnet.
I signed up to the plus net value package £6.49 for broadband and £12.99 line rental for phone line. this worked out the best package all in.
i have been happy with there service and they have been very helpful..
until 3 months down the line i received a bill which was £12.99 broadband + the £12.99 line rental.
i rung them thinking there must be a mistake.how can my package double.?
but they said due to the area i live in i now have to pay £12.99 broadband as i live in a "market 1" area,
so my argument is...
i have always lived in this area so how come only now they have changed the price?
if i have a contract how can they just change it?
and what are my rights in ending contract and taking my custom somewhere else?
any help would be great as i am sure this isn't acceptable x

Plusnet's quoted prices for broadband include a discount for the first three months. The normal price for a market 1 exchange is £12.99.
The quote below is from http://www.plus.net/packages/ - it's hidden at the bottom - you have to scroll down to "Pricing", and click on "Show details".
Plusnet Value: If you live in a low cost area it costs £6.49 a month. If you live outside one of these areas it costs £6.49 a month for the first three months, then £12.99 a month0 -

It is acceptable, because you didn't read the T&C's properly. It's half price for the 1st 3 months only on a Market 1 exchange. This will have been clearly shown to you during the online sign up procedure. once you entered your phone number to establish your exchange status.
You can also check your exchange status via an exchange search on www.samknows.comNo free lunch, and no free laptop0
