another negative feedback :(

just had negative from a newbie buyer with 19 feedback who bought an artificial leather handbag from me (no not the mulberry coloured one!)

the auction stated artificial leather at the very top of the description in the item specifics, it said leather look on the 5th line and at the bottom i put material: leather look outer 100% pu

i got negative "Showed asLeather bag but in later discription stated leather like. Read all text!

I have just emailed her and got this reply:

"Sorry didn't mean it to be negative just pointing out that it is important to read full discription of item. I am not unhappy with the item it was my fault that I misread the discription. I didn't realise it would show as a negative response.
Apologies."

 arrghhhh

    i'm so annoyed!

    she only bought it yesterday

it was buy it now or best offer, i had already reduced the price by £10 and then i accepted her offer of £5 less immediately so she got it for £15 less than i originally wanted

she paid and i sent it yesterday, she paid for other courier 2-3 days but i sent it by 1st class recorded and she received it today

i asked if she would withdraw the feedback and she has replied that she has left a follow up, which is now

"please note this was NOT the sellers error but mine. Should have been positive."

she seems to think that will make everything better

Send her the link to mutually withdraw the feedback rating. Although I believe you will have to of left her feedback in order to do this.

i have asked her if she knows how to withdraw feedback and said i will send her the link if not

i have not yet left her any feedback

maybe she will be more willing to sort this out if i leave her negative in return or maybe she will just get annoyed if i do!?

Hmmm does she deserve negative feedback?

No but neither does pinkgem - when they're mutually removed it'll be irrelevant anyway.

Can you not get ebay involved to recind the rating? (as this is obviously the buyers intent now)

My wife got her first neg yesterday as well. She bought a 3pk of choker necklace things from 'Next' , £5 for 3. She did'nt like the gold so sold it for 35p + £1 postage which we thought was reasonable, which inc a photo oft the choker.
The woman said it was no way from Next and said it was'nt new. Left neg feedback, never got in touch and if she had my wife would have refunded the £1.35.
My wife looked at the things she sells, and she asks, 'if no item is acceptable, please get in touch before leaving neg feedback and it will be resolved' ....... pity she never took notice of herself :-)

It would look malicious if you left a neg.

She didn't understand how the system works, messed up, has apologised and tried to put things right. She will hopefully agree to withdraw if you explain it's damaging your rating.

just before it was withdrawn i left her negative feedback as razorbladekisses said it may not work if only one of us had left feedback

and i thought if i left her positive she may not have any reason to agree to withdraw it so i left her negative but just put buyer left negative feedback in error as she has not read the auction description

she then agreed to the mutual withdrawal and mine has been withdrawn but hers hasn't
