No, I meant buffer. Someone who's just bumbling along without a thought for anyone apart from themselves, assuming they're even thinking at all.

Not anticipating what's ahead ? It's a bleedin pavement not the fast lane of the M1. You shouldn't just STOP ... and if you do just stop without any thought for someone else then, well, you deserve a mouthful with double barrels ... it doesn't matter whether it's Ipswich or anywhere else. It's really inconsiderate.

So your saying I deserved to have all that foul language shouted at me in front of my 9 year old daughter for just stopping and turning around in the street???

I didn't realise I was such a bad person and deserved that. Maybe if I had eyes in the back of my head I could see who is behind me and plan ahead.

As I said before I was quiet happy to apologise but never got a chance.

Wow... you've had an eventful day out.

I must get out more myself.

I live half way between Bury & Ipswich, work in Ipswich and go to Uni in Norwich, so end up seeing a lot of people...

Bury is definitely a "nicer" place in terms of people - however you'll find that (IMO) you generally find it's more full of middle-class people due to house prices than Ipswich (which can have a few scummier people...)

Using expressions such as this I'd have expected you to fit in perfectly with the shell suit wearing brigade. Who are you, Vicky Pollard?

I'm not interested in nasty comments like yours, you seem to be quiet good at them.

I used to work in Ipswich and none of this surprises me. There are worse places in Ipswich to go to than the town centre trust me (but you get bad areas where ever you go).

Thanks for your comments Timalay, your right, I have no doubt there is worse places to go. What I saw was probably mild compared to the way people behave in some parts of the country.

unfortuneatly its the same all over.

I went to Blackpool under protest last Sunday, it was cold, wet, filthy, littered, louts effing and blinding, drunk as lords, spitting, etc etc and that was just the women:eek:

I will never, ever go back there in my lifetime.

You should have asked! Was there 25 years ago...never going to happen again! The women you saw/heard were children then.

I would of apologised to her if she had given me a chance but just gave up and told her to shut up.

So not entirely the case that you couldn't get a word in edgeways, was it?
