Most of my favs are Annick Goutal - Heure Exquise, Par Camille and Ninfeo MioPeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.
Ralph Waldo Emerson0 -
Une Rose, Diorissimo, L'heure Bleu, Nahema, Issey Miyake.0

For a time in my early 20's, it was Samsara. Then I discovered Hypnotic Poison, and I still love it. I have a thing for vanilla/cocoa butter. I then moved on to Bath & Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar and the 2 true vanillas by Laurence Dumont: Vanille Bourbon and Vanille Orientale, but these don't last, sadly.
I was in Boots the other day, adn tried Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau so Fresh, and I absolutely love it, despite there being no trace of vanilla in it! I love the dry down, I kept smelling my wrists all night. I simply have to get it!0 -
I'm another Escada fan - they smell like summer!! I don't really have a favourite nowadays. I used to in the eighties, good lord, I smelled like a tarts' boudoir - Poison, YSL Paris, Eden, LouLou. All the really heavy ones but they were in fashion at the time. There was a Body Shop one I loved in the nineties - Tobacco Flower - but I don't think you get it any more.
Anyone tried Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir? It sounds nice but it's very expensive......0 -
I have a few "old faithfuls" - JPG Classique, Marc Jacobs Daisy, Diesel (not sure which but think its Only the Brave"
I currently have a "work" scent, Viv Westwoods Naughty Alice (I keep calling it Ugly Betty lol!) and a "going out" one, Lady Millions.
However, my all time favourite is Roma by Laura Biagiotti - I would be interested to know if any of you have come across this scent, as I have never found it to purchase in the UK. Ive now remembered I only have about 2 squirts left in the bottleDon't put it DOWN, put it AWAY!You can't expect to Fly if you're still wearing your pyjamas! :j:j:j0 -
Guerlain - Chamade (although it's deadly expensive)
Guerlain - Samsara
Rochas - Byzance
Davidoff - Cool Water
Mugler - Angel (I've got one of the refillable bottles)
Elizabeth Arden - Blue Grass
Estee Lauder - Youth Dew ( a bit old fashioned, but I like it)
Issey Miyake - L'Eau d'Issey
Lancome - O de Lancome
Yves Saint Laurent - Opium (although it was so strong I had to use a cotton bud to apply it - if I had sprayed it on myself, people could have smelt me coming) Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -
Chanel No 5
Christian Dior Eau Sauvagemy late Ex & I used to both wear it, I can't use it now because of the memories, but our adult son wears it now & again, very poignant & bitter-sweet
I tend to like the more unisex type perfumes though seem to end up always liking the types which I can never afford!
My latest? Well I've really managed to supass myself this time: Hermes D'Voyage, the cost? ....£85 for 100mls! (35mls is cheaper at £60 but 35mls is not going to last me more then a month or two!)
& I'm good at the expensive thing too, after my last favourite, Le'spa was discontinued, I searched & searched for months & finally found one I liked, £110 for 100 mls  ... trust me :rotfl:Does anyone find they can massively go off perfumes? I used to adore Angel, but now find it utterly revolting. I have had that happen with a few perfumes. Other people seem to like the same perfumes for life so not sure what is wrong with my nose!
I used to wear Rive Gauche in the 70's & loved it, I tried it again a couple of years ago & actually had to go & wash it off it was so awful. Later I found out on a fragrance site that it had been reformulated & I was not alone in being disappointed by the result
another favourite of mine Givenchy Gentleman suffered the same fate0 -
I'm not fond of women's fragrances either, they mostly smell like baby powder to me

Glad I'm not alone! I'm beginning to think my nose is developing some sort of snobbery though:rotfl: Its sort of depressing though, I end up either using samples periodicly or just getting on with deoderants instead. Dove and Sure maximum support original have become my 'perfume' of choice at the moment!0 -

I'm with you on the second count also, I'd rather wear no fragrance than something I don't like or that doesn't suit me0
