Is it just me?

Don't get me started.....I've just had a rant about something similar to my OH
Basically there's an advert on preloved for a 10 week old pup - and they admit they've only had her for a fortnight - but want to get rid as the pup has been mouthing their daughter, who is less than a year, and has now become scared of the pup.
Whilst I can understand them putting their daughter first makes you wonder if they did any homework first.2014 Target;

So they've had a pup since it was 8 weeks old, about the minimum age you can take one away from it's parent.
Gives you a good idea of what the breeder and purchaser are like.
Another Staffie-X perchance?
I'm speechless at the attitude of a large majority of people today, they can't even take responsibility for their own lives or kids/contraception, yet alone pets. If anything gets a bit of an effort, they get rid rather than putting some brain and effort into rectifying matters.

I'm so it isn't just me who's angry at why she's done.
Yes it's a staffy pup Sally A
I have my little dog, and I would rather sleep on the streets than be without him. And he's been a nightmare at times!
If I had the room and time I would attempt to take on all these pets! I just feel so sorry for them!
I wish they would put a ban on staffy breeding. I love staffs and believe every dog is what you make it. But staffy's are used for so many wrong reasons they should make them stop or at least implement a licence to have one! I fact, you should have to sit a suitability test before you take on any damn pet, goldfish or otherwise!
There's a woman who lives a few houses away from mine who has 6 kids, 4 dogs and has obviously never worked a day in her life. all staffy's and 2 are currently pregnant. I any even look at her.
Spay the damn lot I say!
And don't even get me started on thefacebook animal selling groups. Nothing angers me more than people willingly advertising there suppose 'loved' pet on a website like Facebook. I messaged Facebook team asking why they allow it to happen, and they said anyone can sell anything in Facebook if they so wish! Might set one up to start selling kids to any one then!!!

its all very sad, personally i think they should bring back the dog license, but with a test, and you would need to foster a dog for 12 months before being allowed to get your own. plus a vet check up every 3 months in that time. i know its expensive, but sadly owning pets can be, and better people are put off before feeding the puppy industry

Hi coinxoperated, yes read that your "friends" dog was a Staffy, but was also putting a tenner bet on MountainofDebts story relating to a Staffy too.
Now I sound like a Staffy basher - not at all, although they are not my favourites - I'm bashing the incompetent !!!!less !!!!heads that seem to think this breed is a status symbol of being "well 'ard innit".
Chavtastic! :mad:0 -
People who can do this make my blood boil! Thoughtless, selfish and no sense of responsibility. Rant over!0

I feel this would increase the number of dogs in rescues and reduce the number getting rehomed.0 -
The difficulty is, if you want to rescue a dog there are tests, home checks etc etc, but if you want a pup all you need is cash.
They need to make pup adoption a far more difficult thing, to put off idiots.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

i dont agree at all what this owner is doing..but a couple of points for people to suggest give up her baby seriously wise up i know animal lovers class their animals like their babies and love them just as much but seriously giving up a baby is an absurd thing to say..and secong point im glad she is giving up this wee pup at such a young age 1..she dosent deserve to be a responsible owner and 2 im glad the wee mite is this young that it will hopefully find a loving family that will take it on for the rest of its days..in a way she is doing the right thing :T so i hope this wee dog finds new loving owners ..i know op is raging at her friend but before you dismiss her completley please try and find this wee thing a new owner that you know will love it and care for it like it deserves
btw op your a great person for posting this :T your highlighting just how cruel/unloving some people can be
