OK, silly question....
How do you guys store your bread? The first loaf I made didn't last the day as I ate it all, but I've just made another and want it to last a few days.
I have a bread bin but no cake tin or anything.
What would you recommend?
Thanks
I have a simple philosophy:
Fill what's empty. Empty what's full. Scratch where it itches.

I freeze mine in slices the day I make it,I can not stand day old bread unless I'm using it as bread crumbs.Angelicdevil wrote: »OK, silly question....

The whole breadmaking malarkey just sounds like too much hard work! My problem is a serious lack of space and lack of time. And an incredibly slow oven which takes twice as long as any recipe calls for. It takes me 5 minutes to pop to the shops for a loaf of Warburtons

However, I did make cornbread this weekend which was dead easy. I added a sliced red chilli and fennel seeds and it was delicious!0 -

Here is how I make them,
250g Plain fl, 1tbs salt, 1tbs oil, 150ml approx warm water, pinch of baking powder and a pinch of prefered spice. I use celery salt or chilli powder.
Mix then split in to 8, dry fry until a bubble appears, flip for 2 minutes. Then spread with garlic butter, yummy, if you have been very good melt cheese on top on the grill
