why not just delete the thread then?
my post linked to bpi which included a long list of legal places to download stuff from. As you would expect, the BPI aren't going to tell anyone how to pirate stuff.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
I don't understand why there's a blanket ban on filesharing discussion. It's illegal to drive over the speed limit however discussion of cars isn't banned. Of course you want to prevent people posting links that could bring up legal issues for the site, that's perfectly understandable, however protocols such as BitTorrent are being used more and more frequently, including for legal movie downloads, so I don't see what the problem is.0

I am not sure if this has already been mentioned and deleted, but as far as what I have read of the internet, the likes of peekvid and alluc are legal because you are not actually sharing anything, you are just watching an amalganation (sp) of clips found on the net.Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0

The lovefilm option is legal, but very expensive IMO. It costs £19.99 to download most films, and you get a permanent copy of the film for your PC, a permanent copy of the film for a handheld device, and a copy of the DVD without original packaging.
Considering how cheaply one can find genuine DVDs now, I'm surprised that anyone takes up this service. If I buy a DVD for £5, I don't want to pay another £15 just to watch it on my computer and iPod.0 -
Forum RulesILLEGAL TOPICS
Please do not discuss illegal issues or those that are grey areas in law on this forum. Any such posts are removed when reported. These include the cross-border sale of tobacco, file-sharing, breaking copy protection, hacks, keygens, trading registration codes, pornography, Console modification (for example Xbox chipping), Russian MP3 download sites or other ways to illegally use software.
In the case of in-car speed camera alert/avoidance devices such as Roadangel, GPS Satellite Navigation and Tom Tom feel free to discuss the MoneySaving on purchasing the product but not the legalities. Even though there are some legitimate uses there is a blanket ban on P2P topics. This is done to protect this site and its resources.
If you have any questions about this, please take them up with the Forum Team through abuse@moneysavingexpert.com. Thanks.Torgwen.....................
