Aol service

I moved my AOL broadband and telephone service to my new address in March this year, having negotiated a new broadband and telephone service, without line rental for £8.20 a month. This took a considerable amount of time and was frustrating dealing with India!! Eventually, after many phone calls, they confirmed the deal by email.
My three months free are nearly at an end and when I checked with AOL customer services (last 8 weeks), to confirm my new deal, they keep passing me from pillar to post, or the managers do not returning my calls.
Now to add insult to injury, they informed me that the standard fee is going up to £25(Broadband standard rate) and they cannot believe I would of been given such a good deal??
I think because I have have an email stating my deal, they dont have a foot to stand on?
Where do I complain and has anyone got had any experience of this sort of problem?

You could try going via their forums first

    http://www.talktalkmembers.com/forums/

They have a section for Customer service and Billing queries.

I bet that like me you are on a small exchange with no LLU! Basically if AOL does not have it's own equipment in your exchange they don't really want your custom, hence the increase to £25.

I was in the same situation, been with AOL over 10 years was on £9.99 per month, then Carphoneware house took them over and the price went to £14.99 then £19.99 and now £25!

I switched to BT at £13 per month about 4 weeks ago.

Can I ask, do you know if you can still keep your "aol" email address.

I'm sick to death of aol, been with them since 96 and they just keep putting my prices up and up and up.

Yet my business cards and everything else to do with my company has my aol email address on them.

I'm looking at moving to talk talk.

But AOL UK is TalkTalk! It's just a brand of CPW, it has been since 2007.

Yes you can keep your email address, if you move from AOL your email will work as normal for sending and receiving. Nowadays anyone can have an AOL email address same as with the likes of yahoo.

As Macman says Talk Talk is owned by Carphonewarehouse (some call them Carphone!!!!!house) they also own AOL so shifting to them is like going out of the frying pan and into the fire! :)
