Disabled parking spot, driver now deceased

Looks like it is a normal parking space now that its holder is, sadly, deceased. The Council cannot create a space for a particular individual, but they do the next best thing by saying that it is for disabled. I trust that so long as this lady was alive that was respected.0

And soon, they are hoping to get a team to play that gentleman's game, football:
''It is one in which young men, in country sport, propel a huge ball not by throwing it into the air but by striking it and rolling it along the ground, and that not with their hands but with their feet... kicking in opposite directions."
:rotfl:PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes, it was always respected by myself and neighbours although occassionally others, not disabled I might add, using a club nearby used to try and park there occassionally if there were no other parking spaces available on the road, Her family had to go out and ask them to find somewhere else to park as she needed the space.
Its still not available at the moment as her car is still parked in it until its decided what to do with it.
Thanks for your replies.
Ha ha, love the posts about Bolton!! :rotfl:0 -
I've noticed a few of these being marked out in ordinary residential streets around town (not ones with a particular parking problem, either). I've wondered what happens when the particular resident they were meant for no longer needs them for whatever reason. If they are all just left as they are, they are going to become completely meaningless after a while. Have you asked the council - logically, I'd have thought they ought to come and paint the markings out again to remove the bay.0
