Been told to empty my safety deposit box, didn't know I had one!

    I can tell you that at the moment Barclays are removing the safety deposit boxes so lots of letters have been sent out. If you pop into the branch they will be able to help you although an appointment might be needed as you box will be in the safe.

    This is not the case. People could store a rucksack if they wanted and they would put sealed ties on so you would know if it had been opened. A box with a combination lock?
