I went to return some alcohol today and was shocked to be told "we can't return it until 10am because of licencing laws"

I can see the point in them not being able to sell alcohol before 10am but not being able to return it??? Seems daft to me.

For anyone thinking of doing a Morries APG, the Sharwood Wrap kits are £3.22 at A and on offer at M for £1.64. There id a £1 off moc for these in the latest A magazine, so if they compare, that would be (I think?) 73p per kit. Will get one today to check it out.

    Thanks for this

If it compares correctly against Morrisons then I get a slightly better figure than you do - but it is a big IF. Morries don't have a website for mysupermarket to compare with. They send in spies and update twice a week so you have to hope they correctly upload these offer prices

    Here is my thinking:

In As you pay £3.22 less £1 MOC so you pay out £2.22

A's then compares £3.22 (the full price) with the £1.64 in Morries less 10%. i.e. compares £3.22 against £1.48. That would be a voucher back for £1.74. You only had to part with £2.22 in the first place so the total cost becomes 48p (2.22-£1.74)

Or to put it another way, 48p is the cost in Morries (£1.64) less 10% (£0.16) less A's MOC (£1)

Your calcs make more sense to me than mine :o, ie the M cost less 10% less £1 moc :) Think these are a similar idea to the Discovery Fajita Kits - will try and report back tomorrow re APG comparison.

    Afternoon all
Decided I really need to do something about my weight before it gets out of hand so have signed up to Weight watchers online.
I'm hoping I can shift it OK as it's my meds which have caused me to gain so much so quickly
If there is anyone else who's doing this do you think you could drop me a pm to tell me how the ruddy site works.....it's not particularly user friendly.
I was hoping it would be like the good old days where they gave you an online version of the book of points value for most foods.
Will have to sit down tonight and have a good browse.
So no more choccie glitches please....I need healthy stuff!!

    PM sent :-)

Ooops I sat down on the sofa at 11 and woke up at 12.30 :o My DD has drawn all over the sofa with some lipbalm but she didn't do anything else thankfully, good job I have the doors locked and the internal ones shut. Feel terrible (both in my self and for falling asleep) Still haven't done anything productive either! And I have forgot my mental shopping list I made :p

Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end :)

Thanks for this - you wouldn't happen to know what days the twice a week is? Because these only went on offer in Ms today I think, and it may be too soon?
