Not sure if this is just me but...

DS1 has informed me that it is their school prom on Thurs (loads of notice as usual) and tickets are £32:eek:. He is also saying he wants me to pay for the hire of a dinner suit for the event, I am saying no. He has several perfectly good suits, one of which was bought for him only 2 months ago. The reason for this is that he had a prom last year Y11, where I went the whole hog, hired the suit, bought the bow tie and wing collar shirt etc, this was the end on Y11. He will be having a Y13 celebration (prom/party etc) to mark the end of sixth form/school. I just don't get why there is a Y12 prom, don't mind him going but have refused to hire the suit.

Am I being an awful mum:o:o

We had a weekend away a few weeks ago and in the hotel we stayed in there was a school prom...
I sat in the hotel room watching buses upon buses arrive with the children... I was totally gobsmacked as to how they dressed... It was like a fairy tale, all the girls looked like Cinderella's... The cost to the parents must have been in the thousands....
You are not an awful Mum, your being wise love.... dont feel guilty honey xxxxhugsxxxx
Just got back from the hospital:(

They allowed me to sit with her for a few hrs before taking her off the respirator. I just sat held her hand and talked. The Dr then came in and I knew it was time. I was dreading that moment but it was nothing like I expected, she carried on breathing for nearly an hr, all so peaceful and serene, She finally passed at 3.58pm when the angels came to take her.
She looked so peaceful, and free of pain.
I cried but did not care,it seemed to be the most natural thing to do, so did one of the nurses (she was new to ITU and this was her first time dealing with something like this) bless her :A.

I think I am now just numb from it all, I feel empty inside. :(

As sad as it has been I am so glad I had the pleasure of knowing this lady and even in her last minutes I am sure she knew I was with her, and as silly as it seems she has now given me strength to never fear death.

A big thank you to you all for all the support you have shown me, I mean that from the bottom of my heart :A

Now I have to get back to work (my employers have not even mentioned me having a few hrs off this evening, although its only 2 hrs) Perhaps it might be a good thing as it keeps my mind off it all and there are others that need me also :)

OMG.............. I am so very sorry for texting you this morning... I feel so guilty.... T's was the last thing on your mind today..

Your a very brave woman... My very deepest sympathy to you love xxxxxhugsxxxxxx

Call of Trouty Thank you ever so much for the coupons... They were well spent today :)

Excuse me for not being able to get online as much as usual, Im having huge issues with my 3 mobile broadband wifi.... Plus, I have such a lot going on between being on the farm, working and renovating the house... my life isnt my own at the moment, hopefully it will be resumed ASAP!!!!!!!!! :(:(:(:(

Love to Mr and Mrs 3dogs... I really cant even say that I know how you feel... I just know that your both very brave xxxxhugxxxx :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

Check out the mpg. I had a 06 plate 1.4. It had only done 2,270 miles, six months old when I got it. It was okay on longer journeys but not much good as a run around. I had a fiesta before that and the mileage was great, but it seemed as I was always needing petrol with the peugeot. HTH

Thanks izzeyb i do do alot of running around with work etc so will atke this into consideration, he did tell me but i forget now what he said
