Best Price - Thank you for that beautiful poem. I nearly burst into tears reading it!

Misaligned Halo - hope things go as well as they can today, must be really stressful getting yourself all keyed up for it yesterday and then having to go through it all today instead. Just be yourself, I am sure she appreciates someone being there.

Fudge_Cake - Thank you for being you, this thread would not be the same without you.

3Dogs - Hope things go well today, and hope they can help Alan to be more comfortable. You are a wonderful couple and an inspiration to us all.

    Big hugs to everyone

I am lost for words and feel very humbled at all the responses I have received. I knew that I could share with you all but never expected the reaction I got, you truly are very special, each and every one :A

I tried to reply this morning before I left but could not see through my tears, some tears for sadness and others for the overwhelming support from you all, so just left a quick one before heading off.

The strength you all gave me was more than you could ever know, I just wish there was some way I could repay each and every one of you individually. I have never experienced so much compassion and comfort. :A:A:A:A:A:A:A:A:A:A:A:A:A:A:A:A:A:A:A

The day did not go as planned, Dr's decided to do it tomorrow instead at the family's request (something I cannot go into) so sat and held her hand most of the day. They have now moved her to a private room which I assume is normal for these things. Dr's have also explained the procedure which has put my mind at rest a little, as I was scared she would feel pain, struggle for breathe etc.

Feels a bit like Deja Vu really but I know when I am there tomorrow, I might not have the strength not to show emotion but I carry the strength with me to be there for her, hoping she knows she is not alone :(

    Thank you Elite :A:A:A:A:A:A:A:A:A:A

im glad that our words offered you some comfort.
Dont feel you have to be strong, if her family are there im sure they would be touched to know someone like you cares for her that much and has been there for her through everything.
She knows shes not alone- i have had patients hang on (despite being unconscious) for their loved ones to arrive its almost if they are waiting for something almost permission that they are allowed to pass.
Remember how brave and wonderful you are. i wish everyone could have someone like you when they pass away you are an angel :A

    Thinking of you :A:A:A:A

Neighbors cat left me a little prezzie yesterday, whilst popping it back over 2 fences with a shovel, my aim went askew and the prezzi landed on the green house with a soft thud and splat opps.

( did best to restrain laughter when heard " where the f# eck did that come from" )
Back to square one, no apg, no comment.
