Afternoon all
I'm well behind and have no hope of catching up but need to have an off topic rant
My sons school have rejected his leave request for him to have the Friday before we get married, the Monday after and the half day on the Tuesday as the break up at 1 on that day for sch holidays!! So only 2 and 1/2 days in total.
I'm really annoyed as he has only had a couple of days of sick and no other absence throughout the year and we have booked it as near to the school holidays as possible!!!
Ok rant over
Thanks0 -

All caught up again but signing off coz I'm hungry and have some housework to do
DH is visiting an old man down the road, he pops in every day to do him beans/egg on toast for his tea as he has meals on wwheels at lunch time (the old man and not DH)
3Dogs thanks for your up-date on Alan, at least you both should get a good nights sleep with the extra doses. Don't stay up too late Susan as you need sleep too x
Catch you all laterThere's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.
Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.0 -

Oh dear, my Mum wants to take my nieces children to Florida in October we were hoping for a couple of days either side.
Did you ask in writing ? Maybe you could make an appointment to see the headteacher perhaps a face to face chat might swing it for you.0 -
Hello everyone
Could any kind soul in Glasgow confirm which stores stock the MaM range?? Desperately trying to get some before the coupons run out, but not had much luck so far. Tried M.H!ll (crispy bacon only) and St R*ll*x (sausages and ham joint), but really after some beef/ham/turkey bits or bacon pieces

GP came at 2pm and checked alan and my list of what meds he'd had and when. Raising MST to 40mg plus oramorph as needed, so told me to give him 15mg now to top up what he'd already had and then give 40 mg from tonight. Agreed about possible review at oncology but as we have an appointment with Palliative Care Doc on 4th July will raise it with him and see if he will refer back to oncologist to consider this
GP is going to ring tomorrow to check how thing went and visit if necessary. Alan said pain has eased, though still there, and has fallen back asleep easily so at least meaning that he can rest
District Nurse came at 2.45 just as I was about to submit. She was here over half and hour and made lots of notes. They will visit again in 2 weeks unless we need them earlier, and will order perching stool for bathroom and pillow raiser/back rest too, as well as check up on wheelchair order. I wcan pop out noww to pick up script for more oramorph GP gave me when he was here
Good to have things happening and meds getting there in easing Alan's pain and possibility of some radiotherapy :j
Now, did I see something about a rose wine glitch? Off to check
Glad to see the pain is being sorted. The possibility of radiotherapy is really, really good news. The NICE recommendations for radiotherapy for his C have changed (for the better) in the last few months, as well as new therapies becoming available they have now seen the benefits and are prepared to treat in more cases. The treatment range available now compared to even just 18 months ago is so much better. Here's hoping that they can do something that will work for a good while.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. No mine were far harder!!
Come on lets be nice to lurkers! at least she has come on and saved the locals a wasted trip unlike most who clear the shelves without mentioning it..:D
Well I'll keep shtum for the peace of the board but posts like that pee me off. Takes 4 full cases, no mention of a thanks or a mention of if there's any left for anyone other locals to save them a possible wasted trip. Bad manners at best.0 -

So what do you do now? Half the reason people don't ask for leave in advance is that they are afraid of being turned down.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
