    This really makes me angry.

If I were you I would keep him off and phone in sick. In fact, I don't think I would bother asking for the time off in the first place. Just take child out of school and tell them there ill.

I remember doing this years ago on the last day of summer term for my DD, but I forgot to phone in sick as we were busy at the airport...........then comes phone call from school asking why she not in.......ahem she is ill.......(receptionist) 'I can hear the background are you at the airport???' erm yes:o (recptionist) 'thats a shame because she has won the student of the year award and was going to get trophy in this mornings assembly' :(:(bad mother award again for me!!!!!

Had a nice planned shop today,

Went to Ts first and got

    2 x Mr Kipling's £1.35
    1 x Value Cakes 50p
    4 x MAMs £8.00
    1 x Disney Rapunzel Doll RTC £7.50
    1 x Fairy Dishwasher Tabs £5.10

    Used, £3 of £20, 2 x Meat FPs, 4 x £1 MAMs, £3 Fairy, £1.50 Fairy, 1 x Cake FP and one Price Check, Total Paid for a £20.45 shop & Birthday pressie £4.20 :D

A big Thank You to DSG for the heads up about the Disney Dolls :T

Moved on to Asda, looked for RTC stuff but nothing apart from more large packs of the Microwave Rice for 50p each, so got 6 of those and some whoopsied stir-fry veg, total paid after APG 42p :D

Got a few more MAMs on way back from A's.. Also found a nice stash of wombles for a change in both stores, must be over 20 which is a rarity down here..

Wow very successful trip I'm getting addicted to MAM's & will be gutted when the coupons finish :(

Oh dear, my Mum wants to take my nieces children to Florida in October we were hoping for a couple of days either side.

Did you ask in writing ? Maybe you could make an appointment to see the headteacher perhaps a face to face chat might swing it for you.

I wouldn't worry too much as nothing is done with the attendance figures anyway, except if they fall below 95% for the year. I know it's nice having 100% attendance but sometimes that isn't possible.

    Afternoon all

I'm well behind and have no hope of catching up but need to have an off topic rant

My sons school have rejected his leave request for him to have the Friday before we get married, the Monday after and the half day on the Tuesday as the break up at 1 on that day for sch holidays!! So only 2 and 1/2 days in total.

I'm really annoyed as he has only had a couple of days of sick and no other absence throughout the year and we have booked it as near to the school holidays as possible!!!

    Ok rant over

    Thanks

Go anyway but it goes as unauthorised!

You've said exactly what I was going to say, it'll just go as unauthorised leave;)If it's for something important like your wedding I can't see any problems doing it. I used to take DS out once a year for the day before the school holidays started so as we got cheaper holidays;)I know some people say its wrong but it was one day and we saved about £300 :eek::eek::eek:

after the swimming gals we went to l$wes to spend the aldi £5 voucher, and as much as i tried i could not spend £35in there. there was nothing i needed.
on the way there i found myself in tesco car park :o to the cries of "mum what are we doing here? we are meant to be in aldi's" i blame the car, she took us there, nothing to do with the driver !!!!

after aldi's i did go and park in t's car park as i wanted to walk down by the river and clear my head. its been a emotional day:( and a walk amongst the swans helped alot. then son dragged me into t's he wanted to check the stock of free range jimmy food. but the store is too small to stock it

MMW have you tried the Healthy Balance Vita cat biscuits from Aldi for your cats? Not the ones in a box, but the ones at £2 for 750g in a vacuum-plastic type pack. Both mine really like these. There is only chicken flavour (used to be fish) for kitten, adult and senior. I usually get 5 packs when the voucher is on which bumps up the shop.
