Bordeaux rose was £10.99 now £2.74 *selected store* Thanks to brenoc from HUKD.
Can confirm this. My sis called to say she bought a bottle of this yesterday for £4.11, liked it and went to buy some more today. She bought 4 more today at £2.74 and they fetched her the last case of 6 from the store at B0rehamw00d - so none left thereStill virtually alcohol free since 4/1/15. Hi Zippy. You must be shattered. 10hrs is much too long. :eek:Although Mr TS is doing about the same now he is in his new job, bringing work home too.It was meant to be part time but it is full on at the moment until everything is up and running. Extra money will be nice though.

For certain reasons I cannot give too many details but will try to explain best I can.
For the last week I have spent a lot of time in my local ITU sitting with a lady whom I have known for 15months. This is to do with my work although it does not normally involve hospitals and never situations like thisThe lady is only in her early 40's and through complications from a simple operation is now severely ill. Got told the weekend she is unresponsive and they think brain dead, although her heart is beating she is on a respirator. I have sat and talked, laughed and tried my best to be positive not knowing if she can hear anything I am saying:( I found out today that they will be turning the respirator off tomorrow and she will either die or breathe for herself but be faced with a life of 24hr care with no dignity:( . I know I should be more professional and it should not be affecting me this way but this is the first time I have been faced with such a sad situation. I don't know until the morning if I am expected to be there when it happens as she has no close family.
How will I be strong? I really don't think I can beTiger

I don't know what to say but regardless of what happens just be your self, no one will judge you on your reaction, as you've said you have spent a lot of time talking to this lady so have formed a bond with her weither she has responded or not.
I'll be thinking of you tomorrow xxxSPC #329 £471/£500 banked

hi misaligned halo,
i am presuming several things have affected you:
My goodness, poor thing, a fit 40 year old going from a what was a simple operation to completely dependent on a ventilator and brain dead. Totally devsatating, no wonder you are feeling so upset.
The speed with which she went downhill from her op to ending up on ITU, must have been a big shock and hard to take it all in:(
As karlie says ITU can be a frightening place, so many machines, so many tubes, the environment is so peaceful and controlled but the patients are so sick. When I worked as an anesthetist for 18 months, even though I was superconfident with unconcious patients ITU scared the pants off me:o:o:o
Your on your own, she has no family, you feel responsible for her. Are a social worker of some sort or even a prison officer? It is ok to get attached to your clients. Although in hospital I never really did but in general practice most of my pateints I have known for many years and they are well loved by me as well as the other way round. I am devastated when any of them become seriosuly ill or die. I try and maintain a distance if I can but I have been known to hug my patients and they appreciate that you are only human.
I would however avoid getting involved with the decision to turn off the ventilator, that might haunt you. Please don't feel down about feeling down.
Well done for supprting the poor lady. You take care xxx
:A thats lovely0
