I bought a Groupon for a two course meal for two with a bottle of wine at a restaurant in Bournemouth not far from the pier. It has to be used by 20th June and we can no longer go to Bournemouth before that date so the voucher is going in the recycle bin later today. I've tried finding someone to give it to for free but we leave so far away no-one I know will be able to use it . I hate seeing a voucher go to waste;);)

Sent you a PM :) I know i good home it can go to, if it is still available:)

I use the word "skank" to relate to having a bargain, i often get asked what "skank" have you had today.

Yep thats not far off the mark. It would generally involve using a method that wasn't 'normal' to get your bargain though hence why it applies to what we do as we aren't 'normal' shoppers.

A good example would be buying a car. If you found a few faults which weren't there and told the vendor the 'cost' of these parts and the repair with a sharp intake of breath to scare them a little bit and got the price substantially reduced then you could say you skanked the vendor.

Morning all - just got back from jogging and popped by tesco's. I got some bags of Walker's Squares Crunchy for 10p (they have 6 packs in bag).

they have the date of 09/06/12 and I found them in two of my locals. They have the yellow reduced stickers on, so definitely not a national thing. I bought 5 bags in one local and 8 in another. Just managed to smuggle it past the OH and they are now tucked away from sight.

I know how you feel my DD was 2 in Feb and she calls me mom it really bugs me and I didn't know why, I think it makes me feel like she is growing up too much :( Doesn't help her brother is 8 this year and says mum.
It's normally only mummy when she is poorly-like today! Which means no Tesco for me until this evening when OH gets home from work. I will get this B&J deal I will I will I will *stamps feet*

    Oh morning everyone!
Got to be better than mother :)

yeah think it is because it makes him seem more grown up that i don;t like it. DS1 always calls me mummy its just DS2 keeps saying mum or calling me by my name after hearing someone else say it.
