Eldest nearly went to Durham, but they moved him from the college he had spent ages choosing to a different one, so he rejected them in a huff. I was pleased.
We also had Birmingham, Nottingham and Man Met. The last was on my insistence that he picks a met for safety. But he is adamant that he wouldn't go there :shrugs helplessly:
Anyway last exam tomorrow. I have the feeling that I am doing maths A level for the third time and for the second time wish it was me doing it rather than one of my kids. :shrugs helplessly again:
DS is sweating a bit because he's been accepted for the college he wants at Durham but because it's not his "firm" he could end up with a different college. DS refused to pick a safety net for unis but trust me their was a lot of "discussing" in our house about his choices;) Just dropped him off now and to be honest I feel sick for him because I know what it means to him, but what will be will be, and bless them, they can only do their best:)Good luck to both of your DS's.
So pleased Nikki that your DS is not having to sit in with the lower years that would have been awful.
Seems such a long time that it was me in your postions last year, now awaiting first year results at least the wait is not as long as for A levels.
And not sure if I have mentioned but DD1 got a first for her dissertation, we are not sure because of doing another placement what this means overall yet.
DD3 is doing first few GCSE modules, I don't know how well she will do as mocks were not getting good grades mostly Ds and Es . She just does not seem to have grasped the need for revision hopefully by Year 11 she will be doing a bit better. I wish the amount of time she spent on her nails and hair she would devote to academic studies but I guess everyone is different. I have suggested she starts a portfolio of pictures of the fantastic designs she does on her nails. I'm sure a lot of people would pay her well to do theirs.
I can't believe it was nearly a year ago that your DD was going to uni for the first time:eek:Well done for DD1 getting a 1st:T:T:T:TI just want to get DS in uni whereever it will be and settled,at the moment feel like we're all a bit in limbo;)HappyChappy84 wrote: »It was my own sister, Westie that told me that my posts were pointless. No HC, Karlie was referring to a pic she put up earlier that got deleted not yoursHappyChappy84 wrote: »My nappy pic was removed..... Some people are just too prude and report anything they find slightly rude/offensive.
The term pedo was derived from paediatrics which, if I'm not mistaken is a part of a hospital that deals with children under a certain age? Karlie?? So yes, I was able to see where the manufacturers got the name 'pedo' from for their nappies, it's just a shame in this country that the term 'pedo' has a more sinister meaning, which is what I mean by an unfortunate product name.

Very emotional here too now.
But in a
sort of way. It was a lovely thing the taxi driver did. Time is the most precious thing any of us have but not many give of it freely...... 0 -

Yeah, I know, I was just stating that things get removed for no reason. I was also asking Karlie to confirm if I was correct about paediatrics.;);):beer:0 -
