Insurance offer is Durham:eek::eek::eek::eek:which is so far away. He was also offered Warwick (Step offer), UCL, and St Andrews. Just relieved he didnt put St Andrews as his insurance;)
Can understand you not going to Hawaii:(DS is in Dorset for results and I've got to go and get him at 9pm and driveback so as he can get his results and start the begging phonecalls to Cambridge if he doesnt pass step;) Things we do for our kids.Good luck to your DS, fingers crossed, I think we live half of the stress with them:o
Mind you on the plus side, if he goes to Durham just think how many T's I'll have to visit:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Eldest nearly went to Durham, but they moved him from the college he had spent ages choosing to a different one, so he rejected them in a huff. I was pleased.

We also had Birmingham, Nottingham and Man Met. The last was on my insistence that he picks a met for safety. But he is adamant that he wouldn't go there :shrugs helplessly:

Anyway last exam tomorrow. I have the feeling that I am doing maths A level for the third time and for the second time wish it was me doing it rather than one of my kids. :shrugs helplessly again:

Good luck to both of your DS's. :)

So pleased Nikki that your DS is not having to sit in with the lower years that would have been awful.

Seems such a long time that it was me in your postions last year, now awaiting first year results at least the wait is not as long as for A levels. ;)

And not sure if I have mentioned but DD1 got a first for her dissertation, we are not sure because of doing another placement what this means overall yet. :)

DD3 is doing first few GCSE modules, I don't know how well she will do as mocks were not getting good grades mostly Ds and Es . She just does not seem to have grasped the need for revision hopefully by Year 11 she will be doing a bit better. I wish the amount of time she spent on her nails and hair she would devote to academic studies but I guess everyone is different. I have suggested she starts a portfolio of pictures of the fantastic designs she does on her nails. I'm sure a lot of people would pay her well to do theirs. :)

  • There's a poor queen bumble bee on it's last legs in my garden :(

I love to sit and watch the bees on my plants and before I saw her I was thinking to myself I haven't seen any bees today.

I wonder if something happened to the hive?

Aren't the vast majority of posts here useless? I have made 100's of posts the only one worthy of merit was the post where I found the 4p socks :)
