Mr 3Dogs had a much better night and was not in pain. When he got up at 8.30am he went to bathroom to have a shower but didn't manage it as felt rotten and started retching, just fluid and wind. I got him some peppermint cordial and something light to eat so he could have his morning meds and he lay back in bed

Our GP came about 10.40 and decided to switch Alan to slow-release morph!ne twice a day so he had continuous pain-relief. He is to stop the codeine phosphate but keep taking the 8 paracetamol. He also prescribed him some anti-sickness tablets. GP will put the script into the surgery dispensary and I can collect the meds this afternoon. He said Alan is still to use the oramorph if required and is going to call on Thursday to see how he is getting on

Alan got up when Doc left and we had our proper breakfast, though he couldn't finish his big bowl of cereal and fruit, so going to make that smaller in future. He was happily watching the England v West Indies ODI cricket on tv with me - feeling good but tired, so went back to bed for an hour's sleep. Will be waking him at 1.30 to have something to eat and his meds

And it's a lovely sunny day - washing on the line and 2nd load just finished in the washer so about to hang that out now - it's a good day today in 3Dogs land and I feel positive and motivated :j :j :j :j :j :j :j
    :( Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12 :( 3Dogs'Mam 31-3-13 :(

    hi everyone
hope your all good, so many newbies at the moment!

well no T's for me in a while and burst into tears today when i did finally go in and got the most miniscule accidental dtd of all time, pathetic:(

loads of crap gone on at home and finally kicked the OH out for good a few wks ago, i just couldn't take anymore and the icing on the cake was that he told me he was never ever going to look for a job near us and had kept me hanging all these years on purpose. I was doing great for a few weeks but now i'm having a few weak moments, I must distract myself and keeping trying to remember when i miss him how he treated me like something on the bottom of his shoe but still feel like my insides have been ripped out:(

Am NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO way letting him back this time, i know he thinks i will crumble as i am the weaker more needy one but i think i've realised thats was my naivity plus the psychological abuse that has just completely battered my self esteem. Just need reminding/distracting in any weak moments when i feel like emailing or texting. In fact kids haven't even mentioned him since he went which says it all really.

I didn't want to bring a downer onto the thread so avoided posting but am missing you guys, many others having a rough time too at the moment. A special hug for the 3dogs family and fudge cake, tiny shoes and flo flo.

Will be lurking again but really am not feeling the need to go bargain hunting at all as before and tbh think i did just to get away from him, how sad is that:(. Am going to concentrate now on the two things that matter most in my life, my faith and my kids.

    Hugs to all xxx

oh my can't believ i was just posting that as neosi posted that joke, any other time i would have found that funny lol xx

I'm so sorry to hear this, celebrate and wish you the best of luck.
You need to keep holding onto that courage and each time you lose some hope, look at your kids and keep faith.:)

You've shown on this thread that you have agreat personality and a great sense of humour, I'm sure you will be fine and grow stronger from this.

Loads of sad news on the thread recently and want to wish everyone good luck and higs all round, especially, Flo Flo, Tinyshoes, Celebrate.

I don't post very often anymore but I still read the thread and think of you guys.

    just caught up again.

i was distacted by the fella over the road getting evicted. i didnt even know he was getting evicted today, why am i always the last to know things? :(

the housing officer turned up with the police and the locksmith and basically chucked him out and changed the locks. i have yet to talk to the neighbours about why he was evicted though. our litele cul-de-sac is quiet so this is the biggest news this year down our street. that sounds so sad.
life is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.

Rootednomad I have to thank you, I think I know what you mean about sounding level, funny thing is I can fall to pieces over the silliest of things which really don't matter and my family think I'm mad but when it comes to the big things I seem to have an inbuilt coping strategy, good in one way but I know when my Dad was very ill it came across as maybe not caring to his brothers. Making the decision for him not to be tube fed to prolong things was not hard he was a proud man and had suffered enough but they did not see it that way. And I hope this is not a too harsh thing to say on here this morning but to me death is part of life. :o

It was most definitely a compliment. Reading between the lines you seem to shoulder such a lot without complaining or shouting from the rooftops and in your posts you never seem to feel at all sorry for yourself, yet such a lot seems to be thrown at you and you cope, all without a magic wand. There are lots and lots of different ways of caring for and supporting those we love and the world needs lots of folk like you - you have my admiration.
