. It is carefully thought out. How many magazines are printed, how many are available and where, which in-store offers run alongside the coupons, how the various different offers stack up, making the flops available on-line so they can be printed. It is all in their control. Each element of a promotional campaign has a budget against it and T can contol that budget up to the amount they are prepareed to take as a loss to get people in their stores.
And it clearly works. Paying with shrapnel and making the till ping zero (love that Mad) means the customer is the winner. Doing a much bigger shop to "hide" the coupon use means that T is the winner. Even when using multiple coupons, their products are often still relatively expensive.
Just a game. Let everyone play as much or as little as they like without judgement
I tend to agree.
Coupon use has the same profile as loss leaders. if they are selling eggs (say) at below cost, they know that for every 1 person that only buys eggs 999 people will come away with a big profitable shop.
Same with vouchers, for every 1 person causing the tills to ping£0 there will be 999 people who will spend on other stuff and that increases profit and turnover.
In both of these cases some of the 999 people would have shopped with T anyway and some would be new shoppers. The clever bit is not worrying about the 1 person, not worrying about the existing shoppers, but attracting the new people.
I'm sure T are quite happy about this thread, people lurking on here see a good deal and flock to store, only some of them will be profiting from T, the rest put pennies in T's pocket.
The only danger is that this thread could highlight to T where the too shrewd shoppers are and were not to put too many magazines.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Afternoon everyone.
Happy fathers day to all the Dad's ( fq has 4 little [STRIKE]ratbags[/STRIKE] angels ).
Notes a very awkward phone call with Mum earlier:
Mum " Morning son, happy fathers day ."
Me " Thanks mum, what are you doing today ?"
Mum " How about I take you and the kids out for lunch at the pub just up the road from you ? "
Me " It's not a pub anymore mum, but thanks for the offer."
Mum " Really, is it a block off flats now ?"
Me " Not exactly ".
Mum " So what is it then ?"
Me "A club."
Mum " What kind of club ?"
Me " Erm, it's an adult club."
Mum " What kind of adult club ?"
Me " It's a fettish club mum"
Mum " Dirty perverts, bye"

I see loreal insider has some more vouchers again, on the age wipes which are £4.70 each and bogoff at Mr T, using 2 of the vouchers at £2.50 will give an extra 30p off your shop, so I will be getting a couple of those with my m-a-m packs and hopefully another cool bag too, and maybe some peaches yumyum, and i'm cooking for 9 today who said fathers don't do anything.

I'm running Windows 7 and had this problem.
Have you tried in IE if you are using another browser? The option to "run" rather than install is offered and I found it worked. I had to do this every time, but hey it's a free coupon.
It's only a game

Go to the coupon printer website and install it direct from there. It works fine.0
