Did the make a meal coupons scan ok for the £1 smoked sausage? I tried it yesterday at a manned checkout but till said 'not enough spent' (or words to that effect) Did you go to a manned till or SS?

Looks like we've got most bases covered then :rotfl:

Hi, I went through a manned till and they all scanned ok, he didn't seem to have a problem with them, unless he did and just put them through anyway.

Hi Squigs, just noticed earlier you are in Lytham. Is your T the massive one just before coming into Blackpool? Popped in just before going into B/pool, it's one of the biggest T's I've been in. (No socks though) but did get a mother's day chocloate thingy:)

    Yes, that's my local!

I too was in there this afternoon getting B&Js and 3for£5 pizzas.
I went through manned till with a lovely young male SA who never looked at or queried any of the coupons I gave him!:D

    No socks for me either!:(:(

Well, the District Nurse came to see Mr 3Dogs about 1pm and she stayed quite a while asking lots of questions and just talking things through. She said that Alan's tiredness could be either the codeine phosphate or his condition, or, more likely, a combination of both. I told her that GP would be coming to see him on Monday as he'd been on holiday this week, and she said he was the best person to speak to, as he would review his pain control and possibly change his medication. She is coming back next Friday to check on him again :D

We had something to eat and then Alan went back to bed, and I went into town with the charity stuff, to hairdressers to have my hair cut, and had a look in the auction but nothing there for us

Alan was up for a while earlier. We shared a Ben&Jerry's and watched the first Euro footie match but then he went back to bed and is still there

    RANT WARNING
Was really annoyed earlier. My DS1 got himself a part time job at a swish Bistro/Cocktail bar as a waiter to help get a bit of money while he is doing his AS's and before the summer (last summer he had 3 part time jobs and was working 60 hrs per week).

This one was only paying £3.68 per hour:eek::eek:, which is the min wage for 16-17, but a good learning for him. He has done 4 weeks and still not been paid, promised over and over again he will be, despite phoning and chasing. He went away last weekend and really needed the money so DH lent it him. I have called for the last 3 days and been promised the owner would call back and he hasn't. I thought we would have to take him to the small claims court. This was the less violent option to what DH had in mind:o

Anyway despite being told he was not there this evening, I drove DS and he called in, he has been given half his money in cash and told he would be paid the rest at the end of the month. Suffice to say he is not going back and looking for something else. But this made me so mad, its such a poncey place and charges a fortune for 'tapas' a few bits on a plate and overprice booze. They only want to pay min wage and then still don't pay them

I have a good mind to go to the local paper and let people know what sort of establishment they are giving their money to.

Feel much better for being on here for a couple of hours and now getting that off my chest. Thanks:o

By the way, I did call into Tosco when I was out earlier - got one more Chicago/B&J/Garlic Bread deal to add to the 3 I got on 4th for which I am still awaiting my JTD. I was going to get a Birds Eye/Vienetta deal too but no B/Eye peas tyo be had so had to put the fish fingers, waffles and vienetta back. I did ask Tosco bod in suit who checked online and said he didn't know why but they seem to have a stock problem with peas and next delivery not in till next Wednesday. There were lots of empty spaces in that area of the freezers

Anyway, must put my receipt into the price checker now ;)
