Hope Nikki and Nannylala and any other ELITE11 have a lovely meet today. You can always send me the receipt for the CC points from the coffees to save any arguing. :rotfl:

Anyone know if John Lewis unpack appliances and take packaging away, please?
I used to deliver for them and we unpacked, installed and took away all packaging. unless they've changed their policies, they should still do it!

    Hope you feel well Calmspirit.:)

    Hi all, hope your well.

Need to get a new vacuum cleaner today, currently have a (broken) dyson. I was toying with the idea of getting a vax, theres one that claims to be the most powerful multi cyclonic upright in the world, its a Vax U89-MAF2-R Air Force 2 Reach Multi Cyclonic Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner, it also comes with a 6year (1 more than dyson) guarantee.

Does anyone have any advice on vacuum cleaners?

We bought a reconditioned Bissell, direct from their website , cost £25 and looked brand new.
It is by far the best vacuum cleaner we've had , much better than the vax and dysons we've had.

    Not this one but similar

Hi, sorry if these have been posted but I haven't seen them.

My neighbour has just come back from the Asda Local with some reductions which I didn't know of (I suggested she called in if passing). She said the shelves were just being restacked with the curry sauces so I am off to Asda shortly.

Jars Levi Roots Caribbean Curry 50p.
    Asda jars Rogan Josh - 570 g jars - 50p.
Pataks jars curry sauces - Madras, Rogan Josh, Balti, Dopiaza and Tikka Masala - all 50p
    Asda lemon juice - 20p
    18 packs chicken oxo - 10p
Asda extra special rich beef gravy (in packet/pouch) - 10p

When you get this message come up press the back button on your toolbar and then press the submit button again, your voucher should appear then. Had to do this lots during the DTD days and seem to be doing it a bit again lately. HTH

Thanks for that, worked on 4 which were all cheaper at t's but won't work on a £125 womble

    Will try again tomorrow

I too have rec'd the "price promise" voucher. My price check voucher for the same receipt is no longer printable, it just takes you to the new price promise page and also the vouchers are redeemable to a maximum value of £10 not £20, so do you think the vouchers we have with a few pizza deals will be capped?

I haven't checked the new email as had my final voucher through on Monday before they changed the system and capped at £10. Assume the new voucher will be capped. The old Price Check email redirects to the home page. Fortunately read a post on the JTD thread which explains how to print the original voucher:

Sorry but are you clicking the links in my post?? That's not what I meant for people to do at all.

    I'll try to explain again

In your results email there will be a line with blue text that says "view your results online".

Right click that text and then select "copy shortcut".

Paste this into your internet browser address bar

You should now have a long address like below (except where I have put xxxxxxxx you'll have a mix of letters/numbers that are unique to your result)
    https://www.tescopricecheck.com/PriceCheck/Pages/StoreCompare/StoreReceiptResult.aspx?requestId=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Then what you want to do is replace "check" with "promise" like this

    https://www.tescopricepromise.com/Pricepromise/Pages/StoreCompare/StoreReceiptResult.aspx?requestId=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    and now you hit enter

You'll be taken to your result instantly

Worked for me, thankfully, as otherwise the ice cream/pizza/garlic bread wouldn't have been as good value! From memory vouchers have always needed manually entering if over £9.99 so no change there.

Now off to see if they will accept my final £10+ voucher - they should do as rules changed post purchase.

We need fridge, washing machine and dishwasher for new house. I know which fridge and dishwasher I want, but the washing machine I had my eye on has gone out of stock so I am back to dithering, would love a bosch or siemens - maybe a washer dryer. Any recommendations?
