I went in to wake Mr 3Dogs to watch the footie at 8 ........ to find him in agony   He had been trying to knock on the headboard/wall for about an hour to try to get me to come to him. He'd heard me come back from Tossco, then go out with the dogs and then back again, plus on the phone when friend rang me to find out how he was ................ and I never heard him knocking, as he couldn't knock hard :o:o He had pains all over his body ... his arms felt like they were going to explode. He couldn't even get out of bed and go to the toilet which he needed to do

He was due his tablets so I pursuaded him to get up to see if that was better. He could take his tablets, have something to eat and try to watch the footie. He couldn't eat anything but did have his tablets and after about half hour the pain was still bad and he wwas going to go back to bed. I got a fleece rug and put it around his middle as that was where the pain was now, to see if the warmth would help, and he actually stayed up till the match was finished. He did go to bed then though, but was feeling much better. I checked in on him later and he'd had a sleep and feeling better. Just about to take his last tablets in to him now

Dear Mr and Mrs 3 Dogs So Sorry to hear Alan is in so much pain, the health care workers all say pain management is vital, as no one should be in pain. My Dad had to go on morphine with liquid morphine top ups when needed. Everyone was so kind with Dad helping him manage his pain. Mr 3 Dogs reminds me so much of my Dad trying to stay positive and cheerful inspite of everything he was facing. I hope you Mrs 3 Dogs have a good support network for you. You are both so inspirational i hope today brings you a little more sunshine.
Thought the cordless doorbell idea was a great idea, as should give out loud sound without too much pressure from Alan especially if he feels weak.

    Big Hugs to you both:A

Morning. Windy but sunny day here. Meeting a friend for coffee later this morning. Think I'm going to take the huge chicken out the freezer and cook tomo for fathers day as a treat for hubby. It will taste delicious because it was free - thanks Mr T:j
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend

It's an interesting one, they only seem to be sending ones with money on and they have a 4 week expiry date.

Wonder where people stand on using them? I would never dream of re-using a voucher, I would worry it would flag up at the till as used. But these are new , possibly with new barcodes although I don't know but they must do?

Theoretically they are new but we know they aren't...anyone brave enough to say they will use one?

    Morning everyone. :)

Don't know if it has been mentioned as I am catching up but they do have the same barcodes. I have just checked against one I have not used yet but have printed off. HTH:)

So sorry to hear of Mr 3 Dogs pain and situation, have you thought of getting a (baby) plug in monitor so you can hear if he calls out, I used to use one whilst looking after my mum.
    Huggs to you both :)
